We loved our Excellent fusion Sunday roast. The one pot whole chicken was perfectly cooked and infused with Indian spices. The Yorkshire puddings were light and fluffy (as good as I've ever had anywhere) and the spiced cauliflower cheese carrots and beans were delicious. The desserts are also superb and I enjoyed Spanish saffron spiced coconut cheesecake. We love this restaurant and are gutted that it's closing next week. We will be visiting Ambrette in Canterbury to get our fusion fix.

First time we came for Sunday lunch. Extremely pleased with the staff and the food was very good, always with this extra Indian spice, We would recommend this restaurant.

Afternoon tea, we enjoyed the afternoon with a tasty tea, both savoury and sweet. The savoury was Indian based of course, lots a very sweet cakes and tarts. On balance we would have preferred more savoury but having said that we ate the lot.

Me and my boyfriend came from a a Xmas gift voucher from my parents.. wow the place has gone down hill. Raw veg, over cooked meat. Soggy roast potatoes. I sent my lamb back as it was rock hard and chewy. My boyfriend got a pork belly roast and it came with melted cheese on top?!! Who wanted melted cheese on there pork roast dinner. It didn’t say this on the menu either. Service was slow but it was only one young lad serving and they had 5 tables including a table of 10!! The Amberette used to be fine dining?! They should of stuck to one restaurant and now they have stretched themselves too thin and I’m not really sure what the company is doing, looking at there mismatch menu. Won’t be returning.

The restaurant seemed very inviting and warm after a blustery walk. I had been to the Ambrette in Canterbury so was expecting a good meal. However the service was incredibly slow even though we were almost the only diners. After about three-quarters of an hour we were served a small cup of soup as an amuse bouché, a nice idea but unfortunately just tasted just like tepid tinned tomato soup. After another 20 minute the children were served their fish and chips, we asked for them to be served first as they were rather fractious. The fish was very overcooked and hard so they would only eat the chips. The adult main courses were mostly ok, largish portion size but not at all delicious. I choose the vegetarian option which was very unappetising and came with a yellow rubber band embedded in the gloopy risotto filling. No apology was given when I told the waitress, she just raised her eyebrows. None of us complained as it was a family occasion and we hadn’t seen each other for nearly two years. I had booked this restaurant and intended to pay for everyone as a treat but my nieces and nephews insisted on doing this so I felt rather embarrassed that it has been such a disappointment. Rather sad for a special occasion.

Visited as a couple and such a delight. We did have this on an offer as got an email directly from the restaurant, so well worth signing up to that!! Dined on a Monday lunchtime. Anyway the food was delicious. Every single course of the 12 vegan dishes. We even got an extra one thrown in. We left having throughly enjoyed ourselves and rating all of the way into the night. Great experience and lovely food. There were a few that may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But was great The server also (sorry forgot the name) was perfect. Explained each dish and also gave us more insight into Indian Fusion cuisine. Would 100% return

We had lunch here courtesy of our daughters, we chose the Proseco lunch, (1 course from each menu segment). The food was excellent, the service was excellent. This is worth many more visits.

First time I’ve been back since this restaurant has moved and was very disappointed with the lack of ambiance, the toilets were tired and dirty, paper napkins - All of the above should be improved in my opinion for an establishment charging this much for food Whilst the main was tasty the other dishes were not anything to write home about, unfortunately until things improve we will not be going back Nearly £100 for the 2 of us and we had 3 beers - There is a lot better Indian restaurants out there for less money.

Ordered a take away through their website. Paid £6.99 delivery. Arrived one hour and five minutes late.I rang after 30 minutes late and was assured order had been despatched. Rang again after an hour, passed from one person to another. Told couldn't find my house. Live in main road and house has big number on front door. Eventually whilst on the phone delivery arrived.Took another 10 minutes to remove food from foil containers and microwave it as was cold, inedible at that temperature. Also has 2 burgers, had to deconstruct and microwave the filling. All in all very disappointed with my first order. Suffice to say I won't be making another order.

Amazing fusion Asian food. Have been many times to their restaurants and also sampled the takeaway service. Not cheap but worth it for the quality.

Eating *at* the Ambrette is great - we've done so many times over the years. But don't even attempt the takeaway. We (and some friends) have tried a few times, even giving them a year in between to see if anything improves, but the experience is inevitably awful. The food arrives seriously late (with no updates, nobody answering the phone or responding to emails / social media messages), cold (a naan was like leather), and packed sideways so the dishes get scrunched together or spill into their packaging and congeal. And it's overpriced: for the 'experience' of eating in with good service in a pleasant environment they can maybe justify that cost, but not for poor service at home. What's worse, one of the recent dishes was mislabelled, which doesn't inspire confidence (especially as there's a vegan in our group: to be fair, their vegan options in-house are good, including some imaginative desserts). Many others have commented on the problems with their deliveries, delays and lack of communication. The snazzy new app, although easy to use, doesn't resolve what seems to be an intrinsic problem. My suggestion: please abandon takeaway/delivery entirely, go back to doing what you know.

This is the first time we have visited this restaurant since it has changed venue . We had booked a 6 course tasting menu to celebrate our anniversary. Firstly I told them I had a allergy to coconut and the owner came out to discuss how they could accommodate my allergy. The food came out in an order and each time the waitress explained what the dish was and its name. The food was excellent and we shall certainly return again to eat. We both said although we did have the chance to have a wine pairing with each course we’re glad we did not as at the end we were certainly full. We highly recommend this restaurant from this experience and our previous ones too.

Delicious and different food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Service isn't fast, but actually great to spend time over the meal. Great desserts too, chef came out and gave us a taster of a new vegan kulfi he'd created which was spectacular.

The Margate restaurant is awful. Rude waiter , the slowest service I’ve ever experienced and it was quiet! Not only did we experience the slowest service On the planet our lovely friendly waiter never apologised or explained why . The mains came out incorrect, we then had to wait even longer for these to be replaced , they weren’t in any rush ! So all our food went cold and yet again no apology. The deserts took another age to arrive , and when they did one was left out and the waiter thought it was appropriate to slam the spoons on the table ! Food totally under par, not high end nor are the toilets ! COLD AND RUN DOWN This place has seriously gone down the pan . Complaint made to management, the great customer service obviously comes From them as totally dismissive and unwilling to respond. Three times to chase an email , with no gesture of good will and no explanation for The awful experience. TERRIBLE
