We ate Al Fresco and the food and service was excellent. Being outside made it more personal to chat and we had music in the background, and it was very relaxing. 10/10.

Broomfield Fruit Farm, Ifield Rd, MeophamThe cream tea was delightful. The fruit scone was warm and crumbly. Just hope I like it. The jam was a little runny and it wasn't real clotted cream. Costs a little more, but it's worth it for the experience. Everything is cooked on site, so you know it's fresh.

The Cock Inn Luddesdowne
Henley Street, Luddesdown, GravesendVery homely feeling old pub in a village tucked away down country lanes. They have a great selection of beers, I have never seen the Benedictiner or Klostiner Schwarzbier anywhere before and they're worth travelling for. Good ales too.
My only complaint is unless you're very local or stay here you have to drive. Means I'm stuck to a single pint.

The Cricketers Inn
Wrotham Rd, Meopham Green, Meopham, GravesendI attended a 60th birthday celebrations with a large group of people yesterday. We had our own room which was perfect and the quality of food and service was spot on. The chicken breast was really tasty as well as the nachos plus the staff were happy to bring out the birthday cake. Great day.

Cafe lounge
7 The Parade, Meopham, GravesendThis is a wonderful café, so good that it's always bustling. Book if you're going there.
While standard dishes are available, they're very inventive. For example, jammy eggs is my favourite brunch - no jam involved! Scrambled eggs, tomatoes on the vine, soda bread toast, mushrooms in a creamy sauce, local (large) sausage.
The coffee is good, too.
Decor is interesting.
Given how busy they are, it's no surprise that meals take a while to prepare, but it's worth the wait.
