We hadn’t booked but were able to be accommodated for Sunday roast and totally recommend sea bass and pulled porkIt was very busy and I didn’t notice any plates with any food on it!Nearby activities: It is very quiet and a nearby RSPB which is why we went. A mile past the pub on leftFood & drinks: 1st class and you will not be disappointed with what we had which was sea bass and pulled porkThe pies looked to die for but they didn’t have the steak and aleWill try that and the chocolate cheesecake next timeThat said, the crumble and custard was delicious too, recommend sharing though as very filling!!

I stayed here recently while away with work. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and as I was leaving early every day they made me a packed lunch in place of the breakfast I’d miss.

This pub had the best pub food I've ever had. The pie was AMAZING and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Wish they had another branch in London ?

What a gem, 3 ladies stayed in the stable cottage self contained unit, Hamper arrival pack was in abundance. Snug comfy bed and pull out. Plenty of hot water and heat. Beautiful views, we had dinner and drinks from the bar 1st night. All food exceptional … esp the home made cinnamon dough balls !!! Paid additional for breakfast the following 2 mornings and was not disappointed, family business, son stuart the chef went out of his way, they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had a wedding down the road and chose the location for walking distance home, but due to weather and currently on crutches. They offered and came to pick us up at midnight, saved us a lot of trouble as location is good for venue and walks . We shall be back maybe trying the B and B rooms or back to the stable as it takes dogs and we can hopefully then do the many lovely walks nearby. Well done guys for hospitalityRooms: ComfyFood & drinks: Exceptional menu, reasonable priced
