Delicious meal in Charles Dickens country. I had the sea-bass with lemon and cockle butter, which was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. My wife and daughter had the homemade beef and ale pie which they also rated highly. Service was also pleasant and efficient. Great find!
Quaint little pub, with plenty of parking. I liked the “free house” vibe, after endless chain pubs. Really tempting menu with plenty of variety, and while not cheap, the food is of great quality, with decent portions and freshly cooked (not pinged!!) Between us we had fresh fish, chicken and pies. We only had a lunch at this place which was quite nice. There is a good selection of dishes. The place has a big garden area with outdoor seating which is perfect for bringing your furry friends.
