Pubs in Romney Marsh

“Really nice place. Took me 5 minutes to realise the guy explaining the beers on the board to me didn't work there, he was just being friendly. 3 casks on with future ones advertised. Mrs Bittershurn chose from a range of gins and mixers to develop something that looked like a potion from the Nutty Professor which she claimed was nice. Beer excellent.”

“An excellent lunch enjoyed by all The Shepherd and cook Inn is a family run the pub which is always very welcoming As a family. We do not usually visit the pub for lunch but on this occasion we thought we would give it a try. Jess, you excelled at every level the meal, was, tasty, hot and plentiful. I really don’t know how you do it for £4.95. “I recently visited the Royal Oak in Lydd and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The pub had a great atmosphere, with a pool table for entertainment and live bands every Saturday night. The jukebox had a great selection of music and the drinks menu was top-notch. They had London Pride as the only real ale, but they also had a great selection of low-calorie lagers and zero alcohol options. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the toilets, which had contactless soap, tap and dryer. The open log burning fire made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. The bar also serves food and the selection of crisps was great. They also show football matches. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Royal Oak and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great selection of drinks, entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere.”

“Wow what an amazing restaurant! Located on the best sandy beach in Kent. Sit on the beach seating area or in the cool and traditional restaurant and bar area. The place is a throw back to a traditional pub, reasonable prices for drinks and a traditional menu again all reasonably priced. The 2 ladies serving worked tirelessly with a smile and nothing was too much effort for them which was a breath of fresh air. Great size portions and one of the best fish and chips we've ever tasted. Highly recommended and an ice cream hut outside that again isn't trying to rip you off. Highly recommended!”
