Diamond BBQ Turkish Restaurant

Friendly staff, good food with good quantity and quality. Highly recommended. There are decent vegetarian options as well. My non vegetarian friends were very happy with the meat options and the food they had.

The Galley Restaurant

We turned up ½ hour before the kitchen shut and were warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. The food was freshly cooked and arrived quickly. The service was friendly and we had a lovely chat after our food. Top notch and well worth a visit.

Cardamom Indian Restaurant

The food was good, the mix grill especially was wonderful. Well cooked meats. The prawns curry wasn't upto what I expected. The prawns were chewy or they were reconstituted from dry prawns. The chicken Korma was very good. That isn't what Biryani is supposed to be. So it's yin and yang.

Amazing Family Dinner here tonight. Highly recommend the balance platter. Meat was so flavourful and tender. Everything was cooked to perfection. Served so quickly. Service was great too. Amazing!! Thank you.

The Guljar Tandoori

Collected an order in person this evening. Two of the three dishes are my go to options. Chicken Pathia and Lamb Dansak. Both are superb. I look forward to trying chefs recommended dish on my return in the near future!

Lydd Best Kebab

Aug25: Still top quality !!!
Feb25: A nice friendly, welcoming, local, kebab shop I would use again. Meat was tasty and nicely spiced, chips were excellent. Possibly a bit of modernisation could be done, but very clean and seating & tables in good condition.

New Romney Grill

If I want to get a takeaway and I'm after a kebab I choose here every time fair price good quality food it gets delivered promptly I simply can't complain.

The Tandoori Hut

Just moved in to the area and keen to find a good Indian; a few locals recommended New Romney High St over Tandoori Hut so we took the advice on board and gave them a go; not too impressed with their choice so for our next curry decided to try Tandoori Hut instead.

I was encouraged to see the 15% off for collection, but in my haste missed the bit that says ‘over £25’ and fell around 70p short to claim my discount.
Went to collect with what I thought was correct money only to find no discount applied but after a friendly discussion - and dropping in that we live around the corner and get an Indian once a week - we got the 15%.

No free popadoms, as is the norm in pretty much every Indian we have used in over 40 years; perhaps my punishment for driving a hard bargain . . .

What we got however was one of the best curries we have had outside of London in over 5 years; an almost perfect veg bhaji, a piping hot fluffy nan bread, and a faultless Bombay aloo and veg rice.
Nice to see individual dishes and colours, instead of every dish in much the same sauce and looking and tasting the same, as we found with our first visit to New Romney High St.
Good also to see old-school foil containers in an age where every take away uses plastic; much easier to sit on a warming tray on getting home.

Tandoori Hut will absolutely be our go-to Indian from now on; I will in future add another side dish to trigger the 15%, or perhaps popadoms and pickle if the lack-of last time was not a one-off.
Highly recommended.

Had a meal here with good friends yesterday and they couldn’t do enough for us! excellent traditional greek food but offer english as well! plenty of choice with lovely friendly atmosphere! Good value for money! definitely would go back!

The Woolpack Inn

staff are amazing! me and my fella thought we’d give it a try, very glad we did! food was absolutely out of this world, totally worth the price. very attentive and friendly. steak is so fresh and tender. a really great spot to stop off!!! ?

The City of London Dymchurch

I went in with my mum and dog for a drink, the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble, the drinks were good value, they were very dog friendly. It was a 'proper pub' we will be returning.

Beach 48

Once again this is a great place for food in Dymchurch. I enjoyed the weekday special two courses with a drink for £11. Lovely staff and service. Pay them a visit .

Pegasus

I had Duck in Plum Sauce, my other half Chicken and Cashews and Egg Fried Rice between us. Absolutely delicious, the best Chinese meal we have had in the 10yrs we have been together. Thanks very much

Excellent food at a fair price. Even though they were busy, our order was ready in good time. What a treat. We love our Chinese food, and Go Sing didn't disappoint. Please support this little gem of a restaurant. It is so worth it.

I am in lydd helping my partner with laying a patio at a family members house and we were so hungry, I was going to buy bits to make something but came across this tea room that I had never been in - what a really lovely welcoming place, really nice atmosphere, and all staff are very welcoming, the food- WOW absolutely beautiful we had tuna melt paninis and a home made leek and potatoe soup to dip in , I thought tuna melts all tasted the same but my goodness I'm not sure what secret sorcery u used but it was stunning especially dipped in the absolutely lush tasting soup. We will be back x

XIX @ The Warren

Had breakfast this morning at a local golf club as a non-member, and I have to say I was seriously impressed. The food was absolutely fantastic — fresh, well-presented, and full of flavour. Everything tasted like it had been made with real care, not just thrown together. Great value for money!

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made it easy to forget I wasn’t actually a member. Staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top, and the whole experience felt great value for money.

Definitely worth a visit, even if you’re not part of the club. I’ll be coming back!

Love meal today at the Shepherd and crook today staff were amazing the food was very good timing was spot on and price was amazingly good for what we had would definitely recommend this place as a little gem

The Varne Fish Bar

We went here instead of the other well known place nearby that is horrendously overpriced, and it was so much nicer. Such lovely people, it was so busy, because simply it's fabulous.
Big plus, we didn't need to get a loan.

Dolphin Inn

We stopped at Lydd after a short bus journey from Camber & found the lovely Dolphin pub. Lydd is a beautiful village that reminded me of Dedham in Essex & Bentley because of the enormous village green.

What a gem. Super efficient and thoughtful staff. My friends and I enjoyed a snack in here yesterday and we couldn't have been happier with this independent bakery. Lovely ❤️

Royal Oak

We aren’t pub goers and haven’t been to one for years but we ventured out to this one and we’ve been 2 weeks in a row both Saturday nights as they have live music. The first week was a solo musician and he was great then tonight we went to see a status quo tribute and they were amazing. The owners and their staff were very friendly and welcoming as were the regulars. We didn’t feel out of place and we’ll definitely be going back very soon. In summery it’s an amazing little pub with a great atmosphere and no smelly food in sight.

We had takeaway fish & chips, which were very good, fish was very large definitely have it again. Excellent Christmas decorations looked very festive, well done ?

Absolutely fantastic pub with great views and fantastic service, food is always lovingly prepared and the narrow gauge public train goes by to watch regularly.

Such a great place for a quiet drink or for a bite to eat. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and sport tv (if you want to watch it) They also have WiFi. We enjoyed our time there. Sorry, but we love the cappuccino's there ?

Yongs

Visiting from London for a few days and found this little jewel tonight. Have to say we eat Chinese food regularly and this is by far one of the nicest and best quality food I’ve eaten in a while. Good portions nice and hot and really well cooked. Great flavour and plenty of meat in dishes. Lovely friendly staff on counter. Highly recommend

The Ship Inn

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at The Ship Inn, Everything was spotless and very well looked after, which made the whole experience really comfortable. The staff were excellent – friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with anything we needed.

The food was top quality and clearly prepared with care, and the beer selection was great as well. It’s always nice to find a place where both the food and drinks are done properly.

Overall a brilliant stay and I would definitely recommend it. I’ll happily return again this year.
