Best pub we've been to in the South East - honestly brilliant. Beautiful location (try the Knole > Ightham Mote circular if you're up to it), great atmosphere, excellent food.Have been twice and every meal we had was cracking. Smash burger is the best burger I've ever had at a pub, fish and chips great too. There are more refined dishes as well that are really well executed.Staff are just lovely too. It's everything a pub should be.

This is your first time getting a review from youSo hope you like it and enjoy reading itWhen you're not too busy or when you get a chance to you are happy to sent me a reply from google mapsThat what the other places did when I did them a good reviews as their star ratings aren't as good as bucks headI went to bucks head with my mum dad and sister mollie only for a drink I had cup of tea as the lady said no hot chocolate sadly I said I have the cup of tea instead I was trying to be good about it and accepting that they didn't have any hot chocolate was very grown up of me instead of getting cross and complain that didn't give me what I have asked forI just wanted to be respectful instead of being rude and disrespecful even when they didn't have hot chocolate like I wantedYou get a 5 out for 5 for great serviceI know we didn't go for lunch I couldn't just leave the food ratings blank I gave your food anyway 5 out of 5 because I bet your food there is very goodYour atmosphere is just the way I like it not too dry air or stuffy just right not too cold or too warmI think my dad has left you guys a review before alreadyI just wanted to leave you guys a review because I didn't get the chance to the last time I went so sorry about thatYour pub gets 5 out of 5 star ratings

Met up for (pre-booked) lunch with family ( party of 6), Friday lunchtime. A friendly & relaxed welcome, followed by excellent service, (always attentive but never in your face) with an excellent selection of courses. I must recommend the Game Pie - TO DIE FOR.....SERIOUSLY!! Also a good selection of beers, wines & spirits if you are not driving. Altogether a brilliant experience, although we live in the North of England this is a place we will return to the next time we visit - can highly recommend.

We planned to walk in the park and have dinner here but rain stopped the walk however we decided to still go for lunch despite living 45 minutes away . We were not disappointed the roast dinner was delicious as were the deserts . The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was very relaxed . We will definitely return .,

Warm & pleasant welcome and good service throughout. We were a group of friends getting together for a Christmas meal & had pre-ordered from their Christmas Menu Everyone seemed pleased with their food, 3 courses, except those that had Turkey Roast commented that the roast potatoes were very hard with some impossible to cut. Overall we enjoyed a nice evening with a warm ambience in The Pub, with attention paid to some particular needs of people in the Group. Will look forward to going back there again after Christmas. Thank you to all concerned.
