Delicious food, we chose sharing plates between the four of us so we could try a variety of dishes. All were tasty and more-ish, with lovely wine options.A great spot for dates and catching up with friends.

Love this place so much it never disappoints. I love to support small businesses, we definitely don’t have enough of them in Sevenoaks but this one delivers!

Everything outstanding! Sunday lunch better than any posh pub, gravy and meat top notch! Really pleased to see a good kids menu. Service super friendly, and very attentive. Is a shame we didn’t find this little gem sooner, this will definitely become a regular!

This spot is perfect for a cute little date night or family celebrations. The cocktails were delicious and food was incredible - unfortunately we ordered something to spicy and couldn't appreciate how good everything really was. The only downside to this restaurant was that we did feel slightly rushed out of our table throughout the night as bookings are only held in 1+1/2 or 2 hour slots from what I can remember. Despite this, the servers were friendly and atmosphere was really cosy. Cocktail prices were very reasonable! Would definitely recommend.

We came here for a lunch, having heard good things about the restaurant. We had espresso martinis, which were excellent, and a good red wine. We had the tempura prawns and Korean BBQ chicken to start. Portions were hearty and perfectly cooked. The Prawns were huge. We then both had the short rib of beef, which was tender and delicious. The food cannot be faulted. Service is attentive without being intrusive. I would highly recommend Number8, and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

First visit and very impressed - excellent value for quality of food and strong and diverse wine list, with lots of options by glass or half bottle. Generous portions and friendly and knowledgeable staff - would definitely go back.

As we planned an afternoon visit to the local cinema last Wednesday, lunch with grandchildren at Number 8 just across the road seemed a smart idea. The restaurant opened in March 2022 and is the second owned and operated by a local Kent family – the other being in Chiselhurst. I tried to book online but found the process far too complicated so called the restaurant during open hours last Sunday but no one picked up the phone. Called subsequently and left a voice message and also sent an email. No response to either on Monday or Tuesday morning so called again. The answer was that they were too busy on Sunday to handle calls, the restaurant was closes on Mondays and they had not yet started to sift through messages on Tuesday. Surely potential customers should not have to work this hard just to make a booking? However, we were pleasantly surprised by the modern, low-key décor and relaxing ambience. Tables are set well apart so conversations are not easily overheard. The welcome was warm and we settled in to our comfortable 4-seater booth equipped with menus. Such a pleasant contrast to my first impressions when trying to book! Starters included Korean BBQ buttermilk chicken with hot and sour dipping sauce (£12.00) which offered about half a dozen crisp. hot and tasty bites plus Tempura prawns with harissa mayo (£12.00) with a crunchy coating and tangy sauce. Both dishes served hot and were good value. Mains were Crab fettucine with prawn sauce, spring onions and chilli (£20.00). I felt the sauce rather drowned the delicate crab meat and the overall dish was more cooking mess than culinary masterpiece but it was acceptable to eat. As far as the two grandchildren were concerned, the dessert of Mini biscoff doughnuts with raspberry and white cremeux (£8.00) was the star dish of the lunch but for me it was the Happy Birthday slate written in chocolate. Service throughout was understated but helpful and efficient. The total bill for 4 was £179.94 including 12.5% service with Happy Birthday repeated on the invoice. Nice touch!!
