We always visit this place when we are visiting family, it's their local. Fred cooked an excellent steak, and I mean it was cooked to perfection!! Sunday lunch was also lovely, see you next time Fred.
Probably one of if not the only last traditional pub left on Sheppey complete with “The Governor” Fred the landlord, Fred is old school he says what he thinks, and rightly so does things his way. The pub serves one real ale and on this occasion was Wadworth 6X which is not so common in these parts, my pint of 6X was drawn straight from the cask and was delicious served in fantastic condition. Had a great few days in Sheerness,walked along the shore every day, went into the ship on shore every night for a few Guinness , the owner Fred is a very friendly person.the pub may be old but he has the best pool table on Sharpey i never got to play a game with him but i think he,s a shark ( so beware ).
