We literally just finished the best cod and chips we’ve had in at least a decade or more. They were perfect!. Super fresh fish, light and moist with a light, perfect crispy, golden batter. Packed with flavour. The chips were faultless! Crispy and golden, not at all greasy and light fluffy in the middle. I cooked a lot of fish and chips in my youth and producing the perfect chip is an art many fail at. But they have got it spot on. Will definitely be back… trouble is we both ate far more than we should because it was so moreish. So we’re going to have to burn off a few 1000 calories first. But a very good problem to have :-)

They used to supply fresh cut potatoes fried in the fryer.On this visit we had either frozen or ready done chips from their supplier.I can appreciate if they can’t get fresh potatoes at least tell

We stayed at a holiday cottage next door. Being from the north we have our fish without the skin. The shop obliged and also gave us a good portion of scraps. The chips were some of the best we have had too. We can see why this fish and chip shop is popular among locals.

Great fish and chips perfectly cooked.Staff are very friendly but professional and extremely efficient, excellent portions and a very comprehensive menu.Highly recommended as this is the absolute best chippy in the area.

Our food was delicious and the service was great. I phoned ahead and booked a time to collect, only had a couple of minutes to wait once i arrived. It is also really great value for money. The batter is lovely and crispy and the chips are super tasty. We travel from hamstreet and its well worth it.
We get our fish and chips from here regularly, the service is great and the staff are always friendly, reasonably priced at the moment they have slushies which are welcome in the heat!

My husband, Bill, and I often have fish and chips from St. Michaels. The fish is fresh and the batter light and crisp. The chips are good too. Large portions and excellent value for money.

Gone from a good fish and chip shop in Tenterden to almost the worst, just got cod and chips, fish covered in grease and chips cold, the governer wasn't there that might make a difference but it all went in the bin, very disappointing especially when you ask for non greasy food
