Another smashing pub/restaurant that we've discovered. Super friendly and an amazing setting. Food the same quality as the other elite pubs, we seen to be ticking them all off. Will definitely return in summer the outside space looked lovely x

Firstly let me start by praising our waitress, Lucy, you are lucky to have had her for the last 6 years. Now, whilst my food was delicious, I was rather unimpressed with the duck ends I received for my main course, I know there were two separate dishes containing duck and can only conclude the middle part of the breast was used in these, when challenged the chef informed me that this was from 3 small duck breasts and from working as a chef for the past 16 years, I am amazed such tiny ducks existed, either that or I was being fobbed off. I would definitely come again, as it was very tasty, but I feel a whole breast might be more appropriate for £20.

We come to eat at the Poacher \\u0026 Partridge several times a year as we do not live in the area. We came on Tuesday and had a very pleasant meal served by James. He was extremely helpful and polite. Made our meal more special. Thank you. The food was excellent and the menu had changed since our last visit. Good choice. We will certainly come back.

Just had the most wonderful meal. I booked a table for 22 people for the Christmas menu. Been planning for a couple of months now. Any questions I had were answered straight away by Daisy. Excellent customer service. The waiter looked after us so well this evening. Everyone enjoyed the food and we were so happy that all the courses came out together at the same time. We have all said that we will definitely return and very happy to have our family Christmas get together there again. Highly recommend.

Came here all the way from London because it was reviewed as one of the best countryside pubs and featured in TimeOut.\\nNice and place and service, but considerably underwhelmed by the quality of the food.\\nThe veggies in the roast were not very good (plainly boiled, lacking flavour).\\nThe cobnut and fig salad didn't have any fig in it.\\nThe baked camembert arrived cold (not runny) and doesn't have enough bread.\\nEven the desserts were nothing special...\\nIt's a very \\\"meh\\\" place for the prices it has (your London standard).\\nAll in all, wouldn't recommend.

Stumbled across this great spot a few months back, the atmosphere has always been great. Today was our first roast, the roast itself was perhaps on the more well done side than I would have hoped, but both other courses were lovely. A consistently good place for lunches or dinners.

Had a wonderful long lunch here. Lots of seating options for all weather conditions. Extensive menu and good was excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive. A great play area for kids. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing place! We had some lovely meal there and have never been disappointed. Outdoor area during summer is wonderful. Very relaxing atmosphere and food is superb. Lovely little play area to keep the kids busy too. Highly recommend!

This is country pub with a large dining area, large covered heated patio area and large garden with seating also. The menu is definitely a skilled take on traditional fayre with lovely presentation and well cooked. Surprisingly alongside that is a pizza menu served from a traditional pizza oven in a section you can see the food being cooked. The only slight downsides were firstly the price - some of the portions were small for the cost. Secondly on a Sunday the place seemed overrun with large families with children making the restaurant extremely loud and messy. We were a party of 6 adults and crammed onto a table that would have been suited to 4 people. The service and food are generally extremely good so perhaps on a less busy day an extra star could easily be added to the review.

I've been here a couple times with friends and family and have enjoyed it every time. The food is quality and the atmosphere matches. Obviously you pay a little bit extra to be at an Elite Pub, but I would say it's worth it.

Found choice limited for our tastes. Had the lamb rump which was fine and the dessert, millionaires tarte, very nice, but took us ages to find something. Ok if you like middle eastern or Asian food. Cannot put my finger on to why we were slightly under whelmed but we were. Staff great , friendly but we were disappointed. Maybe it was because the menu tried to satisfy too many tastes but having the name Poacher and Partridge you would have thought there would have been more game and country style dishes. Sorry but there it is.

Love it here. Bit pricey for a casual evening meal so hardly my weekly spot but great so birthdays or family meet ups.

Love this place. Vast menu choices. Great for families as they have outdoor play area including footie nets. Would highly recommend anytime of the year.

Had to wait 30 mins for our booked table, with later arrivals being sat before us. Seven people had to sit at a table which was more suited to four. Table was so skinny barely any room for glasses. Ordered bread baskets which never arrived. Food was OK but definitely not Bistro standard. It was clearly the end of a busy day and no one could really be bothered.
