I am often disappointed with eating out in the uk and being served by staff who don’t want to be there so I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and efficient service. It really does make a difference and made my mothers 80th birthday a special occasion. Thank you.
This is a very popular pub and it was really busy. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We all ordered a Sunday roast. I am a vegetarian so I ordered the veggie option. When all the plates arrived, mine was the only one without a Yorkshire pudding, which was one of the things I was most looking forward to. I was told that the Yorkshire puddings are not vegetarian, which must mean that they are cooked in animal fat. This is very disappointing...read full review

We went for an evening meal. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing and laid back. The food was great if a little pricey but was very nice and ultimately you get the quality you pay for so was well worth it. Friendly and helpful staff made it an enjoyable evening, especially Phoebe who was our server. Recommended.
