We had a poor experience last time but frinds booked brunchI ordered a full english - with a request “please can i have a runny egg”They served 6/8 people and we had to chase for the ladt 2 meals.Of course, my egg was solid, and mushroom rubbery a d … no baked beans? Really? They cost nothing.Very poor. Avoid as there are much better places

We had an excellent coffee sitting in the sunshine outside. Didn't try the food so can't comment. Service very friendly and efficient. Will certainly come

The place is not cheap and, when asked for a bill the waitress came and verbally told us the price. I gave her money and asked for the bill. When she gave it to me, there was 12.5% added service charge marked as "optional". How is it optional if one does not get the paper bill except on asking. I am afraid I asked for the tip, which I added to the cash I gave her, back.Interesting what would the situation be if I paid by cardVegetarian options: There were a few but incredibly expensive. A small sourdough toast with a bit of halumi and salad was over £10.

We stopped for lunch at the lovely Hattons. Located in the historic Pantiles. We sat outside as lovely and sunny and watched the world go by. Beautiful setting and friendly staff.

We had a delicious brunch of scrambled eggs and mushrooms on sourdough and a sausage sandwich with excellent coffee. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Definitely a must go on the pantiles!

We had 2 coffees and cakes which were both well above average in quality and were at a reasonable price
A delightful lunch with excellent service and staff..yummy sandwich and a water bowl for our dog. The Pantiles is just a chill place to sit and watch the world go by

Hattons is a lovely, good value café with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, its menu varied enough to please most palates and the quality of the food equally good. A special shout-out for their coffee - delicious! Would have given them 5 stars but they don’t take bookings (which is helpful in some circumstances). Highly recommended.
