Visited here on Christmas Eve for lunch. We're not from the area so it was a bit of a stab in the dark. There were 5 of us and our small dog. The food was absolutely excellent and the service was spot on. 2 of us had the croque madame which was delicious. We also had a surf'n'turf with minute steak, cooked to perfection. A very nice stop off for lunch. Charming service and excellent food. 3 different meals ordered and all declared as lovely. Friendly environment, although the whiff from the drains could be got rid of!

Properly hot chilli in both senses of the word. Great chips, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Large selection of local beers. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Will make a point of coming again.
