Best meal in whitstable for a long time, took my Nan here for her birthday and the service an food was amazing these people know their stuff, fast service with a great deal of efficiency, also dog friendly which is a massive plus as well as their massive beer garden which I can imagine gets packed in the summer, can’t wait to come back!Vegetarian options: The veggie options are just as good as the normal options!Dietary restrictions: We have a gluten free in our group and was difficult to find somewhere that catered for all of us, They have a gluten free options which saved our evening thinking we couldn’t find anywhere that does nice gluten free dishes but the east Kent pulled through and saved our evening

Horrible experience. As someone who is an avid fish lover. I expected the Cod to at least taste good. I told the waitress that I did not enjoy the Cod and asked nicely for it to be taken off the bill. She then asked me in a hostile way “why didn’t you say anything when I first came over??” Feeling already awkward in the moment, as I don’t usually ask for things to be taken off the bill, I told her I just felt a bit shy in the moment. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. I will never go to this place again and I recommend no one else to aswell.

Often visit this Pub for food and drink.Also one of the only Pubs in Whitstable that serves food until late on a Sunday evening, which is brilliant!Great selection of food, and fantastic results ?Excellent staff who really work hard and provide outstanding service!

Best Sunday Roast in Kent! We had such a fabulous time at the East Kent. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so lovely, polite and attentive. Highly recommend!

Had a great vegan pizza here, olives, artichokes, capers; the best. Dog friendly and Neck Oil on tapVegetarian options: Vegan burger and vegan cheese for their top notch pizzas. Biscotti dessert also vegan ?

We were in Whitstable for 7 days in October 2023 and visited East Kent on five of the days with several for dinner and one for drinks only. The staff including Andrew (owner) Mollie and others were a pleasure to meet and greatly enjoyed crab profiteroles, pork bao buns, pizza with Italian sausage (best I have had in the uk since coming from Chicago over 20 years ago) and the cheesy bacon fries. There were four of us with 3 small dogs. The hospitality and personalities were super and immensely appreciated. From Mary OF from west London - our little Amigo was Daisy O’Donnell
