Went here to get a cuppa, before we got our coach home. Had a chat and laugh with the manager, didn't mind us sitting for a while. Good range of foods on offer, and caters for all tastes. Very friendly.

After popping in a couple of times to eat back in October last year on a week long stay, we were taken with both the food and the welcoming couple who own Gilbert’s, and so we were looking forward to returning on a day trip to Whitstable today. I came here for lunch based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and the fact they cater to different dietary requirements and they did not disappoint in the least! I got the warmest welcome, Gary and Tara are possibly the friendliest and funniest couple! They obviously take great pride in their shop and work hard to keep it that way. I got a delicious mackerel salad made for me by Tara.
