The best fish and chip restaurant i have ever visited. Do not confuse this restaurant with other similarly named places in the area. Great service , a splendid selection on the menu. try the fish curry or thecseafood linguine or one of the daily specials...just a great place to eat.

Ordered 2 large cod and chips. The portion of chips was laughable, smallest I’ve received from any chip shop in the area. The chips were brown looking and tasted old. The cod was average at best.

It was the second time we had visited; the first being in May and were sonimprrssed we hsd to find an opportunity to return. I hsd seafood linguine - fullof calamari, prawns mussels and cod in a rich red wine and tomato sauce. My partner had the chef's special of even bzked skate in a coriander and garlic marinads with sauteed potatoes and salad. Not your usual fish and chip shop! It was very busy when we called and we are grateful that we booked! The service was excellent and we have alresdy reserved a table for another visit.

After being served frozen fish and chips at Whitstable harbour. I looked to the best place to go in the area. Ossies came up as the best but we were really disappointed. The chips tasted like the oil needed changing and the batter was not great. Come up north and taste the best.

Very delicious fish and chips. It is located just one block from the beach. Although you cannot see the beach from the cafe but it is a nice place to take a break from the windy beach. Price is reasonable and the staff are very friendly. We had a very good “super late lunch” there.

The fish(Cod), for me the main event, was one of the worst , maybe THE worst I have had anywhere. We usually take away and did so again this time. - Not an excuse for soggy anything! The batter was thick and soggy with oil which had, obviously gotten to the fish making it quite unpleasant in places Some of it was cooked well, some of it was overcooked. Perhaps they don't tend to the fish whilst it is deepfrying making sure it is cooked properly? (a sign of complacency maybe?) Flavour was quite bland and I get the impression that the long lines outside are not a result of this place's high quality but maybe a lack of other places to go to? We ordered a large portion of chips with the fish. The chips were average and the portion really was large. Not going back anytime soon.

Had planned to have lunch in Whitstable but the fire at the harbour forced a change of plans. Ended up back at Tankerton and had a really wonderful couple of plates of fish and chips at Ossie’s fish and chips. Delicious food and friendly, welcoming hospitality. Highly recommended.

Mum had the skate special & sauté potatoes & it was huge & she said truly deliciousI had cod with leak cream white sauce & chips & it was delicious tooAlways have there cod and chips when I pay him a visit and they never disappoint but this time Ozzy made a suggestion too try this cod dish and it didn’t disappoint.Will back soonAlways worth a visit if your down that way

Had a trip to the coast and got really excited about having some fish and chips. Thought we'd try the top place on trip advisor, but honestly the food is better at our inland local. My haddock was dry, the chips were soggy and undercooked and both the mushy peas and the curry sauce with thin and watery. Avoids 1 star because the saveloy and my girlfriend's cod were fine. We 'd had to wait a while so thought it might be freshly cooked and banging but it wasn't.

I enjoyed a wonderful meal of fish and chips outside at this restaurant as well as a cappuccino that I took to the nearby beach. I was impressed with the thoughtful service provided by Elvin. The meal was substantial, the fish and chips were beautifully prepared, and I liked they weren't fried in beef fat.
