We had lunch in the dog friendly area. Staff were pleasant. We only had wraps and sandwiches, which we enjoyed. Would recommend.

What a lil gem of a place this is , visited with a friend of mine ordered the chicken and chorizo kebab, food was delicious ? service was great , just few football fans in that were abit rowdy but once they left it was pleasant ? will definitely be coming

We needed somewhere to host a wake after the funeral of my mother-in-law, and we could not have chosen a better venue. Easy to get to, plenty of parking. Tastefully decorated interior. The best buffet that I have ever had at any type of function, to be honest - none of your ‘beige’ type foods (think cold pork pies, sausage rolls, limp sandwiches etc) the table was filled with hot food: pork koftas and tzatziki, salmon fish cakes with tartare sauce, piri-piri chicken and chorizo kebabs with aioli, jewelled cous cous, crispy chips, herbed potatoes, freshly made stone baked pizzas, salad, various sandwiches (smoked salmon, cheese, chicken and advocado) haddock goujons with lemon, spiced falafel with hummus and, last but not least, the fabulous honey roasted chorizo pieces were to die for!!!The mini desserts came and consisted of slices of baked cheesecake, frangipane, sticky toffee pudding and brownies. Plenty of tea and coffee on hand, too.Food aside, the drinks weren’t cheap but weren’t THE most expensive we have had either - pint of Guinness for £6. Not sure how much my glass of wine was as someone bought it for me but probably the best part of £10 (based off the price for the Guinness.)The staff were amazing and need a big ‘shout-out!’ They were friendly and polite, efficient and attentive and did a really good job.I know the overall bill for an estimated 40 people was not cheap but it was absolutely well worth the money and we are glad we chose this venue for the wake.On another note, I have not been in The Knowles Arms for years and years and now would not hesitate to drink and dine there in the future. Thanks, all, for a job well done x

We had a lovely meal and the young woman who served us was the most helpful and attentive waitress I've ever come across.

Recommended for fresh, tasty food: pleasantly surprised and would be there more often if lived in the area. Meal and service excellent except for the fries which were sadly inedible. Please don't salt them.

Nice, although if you strayed off the fixed price menu it could get expensive.Good to see a busy restaurant on a Friday lunchtime.

Wonderful eatery on the outskirts of Blackburn. Food is excellent with a very wide choice and incredibly good value for money at lunchtimes. They even had a gateau Basque for dessert which I'd not had since I used to holiday in the Basque region. It was certainly authentic and lovely. There is a separate menu of vegan dishes too. The restaurant itself is modern, attractive, very comfortable and fully accessible for wheelchairs. I would recommend booking if planning an evening meal.Vegetarian options: Has a separate vegan menuParking: Plenty of parking all round the buildingWheelchair accessibility: Blue badge spaces at the front of the restaurant. A ramp from the car park up to a wide door and plenty of space inside.
Perfect afternoon catching up with friends we opted for the bar area to allow us relaxed dining and it was exactly that! Wine we always feel is a little over priced but the food is great! We opted for sharing platters and sides to graze whilst chatting delicious!Kid-friendliness: Staff always lovely with my sonWheelchair accessibility: Ramp entrance for wheelchairs and prams
