This was our favourite go-to Chinese takeout for years. We haven't been since the pandemic started because it coincided with my mother's decline into ill health. Tonight, she fancied chicken curry, a proper one not a bland version. My brother and wife were over from France, with a fancy for chicken and special chow mein. We went to our no 1 Chinese. Been using this chinese for years now, never fails, the owners and their family are all so lovely and polite, food is always hot and freshly made, super tasty and an absolute bargain compared to most chineses that charge a mortgage for their dishes!

Last weekend I ordered a number of starter, main and side dishes for while-you-wait takeaway. The food was reasonably priced and all well-cooked, with no excess of starch or spice or oils. Thank you!
