White Swan, Fence.

We had a wonderful evening at the Michelin-starred restaurant. It is a set menu, and every dish was in season and tasted exquisite. This was our second visit, and we look forward to returning in the autumn.

Absolutely brilliant. Great food, service, wine and atmosphere.

Superb meal. 4 course set dinner. Every course was absolutely amazing. This place is pretty special - an ordinaryish pub with good beer and a world class chef in the kitchen. There are a number of really good eating holes in this area but this is now my favourite. Definately 5 stars. Perfect? No the predictable pop music grated. What I liked about the service is the introductory commentary on each course was clear and easy to follow...

We absolutely loved our mid week evening at the white swan. The service is great - attentive but not overly so & very friendly. The food is imaginative, beautifully presented and most importantly delicious! Reasonable prices for the quality & a cosy pub atmosphere.
Can’t wait to visit again - it’s a real experience rather than just a meal out!

our second time at the white swan and we didnt think it could get any better than our first!! how wrong can you be ? it was amazing!!
our first vist was for lunch do this time we went for dinner!and took our friends to try it ! they loved it !
wow!! not just fantastic food, fantastic service and such pleasant staff !! This makes for the best time ! The owners have created a lovely friendly relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. something that is not easy to achieve !

We made a reservation for dinner with expectation and excitement because it has 1 Michelin star. The tasting menu we preferred was as in the photo. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. Our favorite dish was tomato consomme. Herdwick Hogget was unfortunately a tough meat. Portions were small. We expected better food from a restaurant with one star, it was a bit disappointing. You can get better food at many pubs for this price :(

Top class dining in a relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. From stepping through the door you are met with excellent service from friendly and knowledgeable staff. The quality of the food warrants it's award winning status. We will certainly return

Every visit has been a pleasure. The food is exceptional — Michelin quality at a fantastic price. The setting is a charming, down-to-earth country pub that feels welcoming and relaxed. The team is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do.

Highly recommend the special beer, wine, and whisky nights — the pairings with the food are spot on. A brilliant place to enjoy top-class food, great drinks, and warm hospitality.

Went for a birthday lunch today, what a treat great menu, excellent food served by pleasant friendly skilled staff. Already planning another lunch next month.
