Shirley and team were very welcoming, attentive and professional on a very busy night. Ate from the festive menu: both had prawn starters which had lovely, succulent prawns in a rich and tasty sauce; all presented very nicely. When we are visiting Burnley the Sparrow Hawk is our pub of choice. Last night we visited with friends new to the area and they were very impressed with the pub and their meal. My husband is a vegetarian and said his was the best vegetarian pub meal he'd ever had. Excellent service too - with a smile. Many thanks.

A lovely warm welcome to us all whilst celebrating our Daughters birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, always smiling and very helpful. Chef adapted the food for my Wife who is coeliac and lactose intolerant and prepared a real treat for her. Our family hadn't been to the Sparrowhawk before as they live away, they have left with a great impression. Thank you to all the staff, it's been a wonderful afternoon with great food and many memories made.
