The service is appalling, we waited 15 minutes and eventually summoned a member of staff to take our order. It was not busy it was around 3.00 pm and wanted a coffee and cake. This has happened to us on several occasions and we have had enough of being ignored and will not be going back. There seems to be no management of the staff, they think cleaning tables is a priority and once they have sat you down they simply ignore you. They couldn't be more disinterested, no welcoming smile, no attention whatsoever, well I am going to vote with my feet and go elsewhere. When paying by card they have the audacity to ask if you want to leave a tip for the service! What service! Over the past few months we have seen plenty of people in the same position and they have walked out - something we almost did today and the last time if I am honest. Best not to go I think.

Just had lunch and we’re very disappointed to say the least,we had ham and Brie sandwich with a portion of chips, the ham was prosessed and wafer thin and the cheese was very tasteless,as for the chips well they were very disappointing too so all in all not the best lunch we have had. This cafe was always one of our favourites and have been going for many years but it seems to have changed and not for the better. We used to enjoy a cafetière of coffee and though it was still on the menu we were told that they had stopped serving them !

Turkey ciabatta was fatty pork . Not very nice . They should have been honest. At least they took it off the bill .

The first time that we've had a poor meal here. We both had a turkey lunch and I've never had turkey like it. It was tough and gristley with little or no flavour and was extremely disappointing.

I had a small fish and chips which was fine but the amount of chips served with the meal was in my opinion minimal. Also the side salad with the jacket potato was basic

Had a ceasar salad very disappointing and small for £11. Bought in cakes also disappointing . Also not into this sharing tables thing.

Luckily for us, the restaurant was quieter than usual so we managed to get a table! Specials menu was good and included new and interesting food. I ordered lasagne , swapping the garlic bread for chips without a problem. Food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Peroni is lovely and cold! A great pint. Lots of staff, all very busy. Best meal we have had at The Pavilion so far.

Fabulous place to have breakfast or lunch or just a brew. Great selection of cakes and ice creams also. The staff are amazing.

enjoyed this place for lunch before. passed many other lunch places in our hour drive to go there for a light bite and a look round the garden centre. not too long to wait in the 'queue outside' system. our table was by the door. a group of ladies who lunch thought it fine to stand with the door propped open and this ploy maybe got them seated quicker. I was sorry to see browned stem lettuce on my garnish and was told 'it's all fresh' - truly? not in my book. offered another meal but a long wait. o.k. only garnish and it was more the way it was handled than anything that was disappointing. certainly not worth the drive for us. we'll leave it to the locals.

Really enjoyed my morning here. The location was fantastic, with plenty to explore and great shopping to be had. I had breakfast with coffee and orange juice. Everything was on point and the staff were really friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back.

Very loud today. Getting expensive! Still a good trip out.

We go regularly to the Pavilion and are usually satisfied with our food. Yesterday however I had a small fish and chips which was swimming in fat and mostly inedible. What a disappointment after looking for a nice lunch. Think it must be under new management as standards seem to have slipped

We stood waiting to be seated whilst staff chatted in a huddle and failed to notice us. Staff came to clean tables within a few feet of us but didn’t speak or make eye contact? We eventually got seated and had barely sat down when someone tried to take the order before we’d even seen the menu. We asked for a couple of minutes and we were then totally ignored for the next 15 mins? It’s like the staff are blind or blinkered delivering food or clearing one table whilst apparently unable to see any other customer looking for their attention? The food was ok, the chips with the quiche were lovely, but the skinny fries that came with the croque monsieur were dry nasty and horrible. £8 for a basic prawn sandwich is very overpriced and £4.75 for a slice of cake is simply leg lifting! There are much better cafes out there with staff that actually know what they are doing

Visited on a sunny Wednesday, half- term week. Had to wait in a queue whilst a lady explained to other people in the queue about food, specials etc.. we only wanted coffees, surely, there should be an easier way of managing said queue, to get people seated and out if the way of other customers going into the garden centre. Anyway, we waited a good five minutes before a young man took our simple order of three coffees. Off he went, fifteen minutes later still no coffees, I asked a young girl waitress, if they would be much longer and got a curt reply of ‘ the coffee bar is very busy’ . We left without getting the coffees !! I know it was quite busy but nearly twenty minutes !!!

We have been coming here for a few years now.But on this occasion really disappointed, first the rude person who pushed in running to get our table and the staff doing nothing.Second, disappointed with our meals, just I don't know what, but it wasn't good.
