A perfect example of what a country pub should be! Beautiful traditional building and setting with warm welcoming staff.Three of us had the Sunday dinner today and it was exceptionally good! Top quality cuts of beef cooked to perfection, smothered in rich tasty gravy, a giant Yorkshire pud and all the trimmings! After a great walk up Parlick and Fairsnape we popped in for some drinks. The children had some lunch, great size portions £6.50 and lots of choice. Homemade cooked fresh food, all 8 children demolished their plates. Some friends ordered off the main menu and their food looked yum! Will definitely return and would totally recommend.

Pubs as they should be, food is superb, pizza night is amazing, atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a cold winter night with the real fires or outdoors in summer, very friendly locals, loads to do in the area as well.
