Parked before going on a hike as per recommendations...Absolutely beautiful place but more upmarket than was expecting. Staff were lovely, food was excellent and had we been dressed appropriately we would have really enjoyed it but the menu's were limiting for a 'light bite' before attempting the hike.We opted for 2 starters from the multiple menus we were offered (again, amazing food and selection) and with the complementary freshly baked rolls which arrived on ordering, and the mini Eccles cakes stilll warm from the oven at the end (also complementary) we were satiated. One coffee, one diet coke and water.I'd fully recommend for a leisurely, luxurious culinary experience and will return in the near future

Another great meal at Nigel Haworths Three Fishes. Tasting menu for £39. Can't get better value. Outstanding.

I’ve always loved the setting and ambience of The Three Fishes.Whether it be for friends or family. However this Saturday something was completely out of sorts - The food was quite basic, not as experienced on previous visits. The service was not very good ie drinks orders being forgotten, parts of the menu description on the plate missing, running out of butter for the bread. It was all a little bit too much.Nevertheless I’ve given a 4 star as my past experiences have been enjoyable and I understand that lack of staff or under staffing can also contribute to failures in procedures.I would still recommend and will return in the future.

Since Nigel Howarth took over the quality of the food has been transformed. We had Sunday lunch and it was delicious. Lovely starters followed by roast beef, succulent beef, a good selection of vegetables, roast potatoes & a very tasty gravy. We couldn't fault it at all. The staff were well trained, friendly, efficient young people. Only gave atmosphere four stars because it wasn't very warm in the restaurant.

We only called in for a drink so we didn't eat. The menu looks great, the food looked delicious and it's obviously very popular. The car park indicicated that it would be busy inside. We will most definitely return to eat.

We went on 30th December for the Italian-inspired dinner which was first class from start to finish. The cooking was outstanding, excellent flavours in every course, service was very good and professional. There is a well-priced wine list with something for all tastes. Partway through Mr Howarth came to chat with the diners which was a lovely touch. Whenever we stay in the Ribble valley a visit here is a must.
