“I'll probably say this is one of the nicer pubs and if not the nicest pub in town, it's perfect on a sunny day out front in a lovely spot in Darwen. If you're planning a walk do visit here on your way back down. It's tradition ?”

“I really am hesitant to leave this review as I know we will struggle to get a reservation in future. We visited at lunch time to try The Nostalgia Experience. We were greeted and welcomed by Kelcie on the bar and Chan the chef. We chose to eat in the dining area upstairs but has the option of staying downstairs.
Kelcie came with our food and was very attentive. We were blown away with the depth of flavour in each of the dishes we had chosen to share and really didn't want it to end.
Chef came and did a check back and we had a good natter. It was like having a personal chef.
What an experience for the taste buds, we will most definitely return.”

“Came here for a Sunday Lunch for the first time since moving near by and I have to say it was excellent. My partner and I are what one would refer to as ‘Roast dinner snobs’. Therefore we are very hard to please when it comes to eating out for a Sunday Roast however the beef was cooked to perfection, there was an incredible amount of food on the plate with a mixture of well cooked veg, beautifully seasoned roast potatoes and creamy mash, a giant home made Yorkshire pudding all with tasty gravy. If we are to fault one thing it would be the cauliflower cheese was slightly watery and the cauliflower was a little hard.
Very friendly staff and great timely service.
We will definitely be making this a regular occurrence and recommending to family and friends.”
