We had a lovely evening at the Rock. It is a family-run business; everyone gets a very warm welcome and the service is refreshingly good (most places are terrible these days, especially the national chains). Pub locals mix agreeably with diners creating a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant ambience was lovely and it felt 'cosy'. Came for a family meal food overall was good everyone enjoyed their meals which came out quick and were hot. The staff and management are super lovely and can't do enough for you. Good place for a warm homely feel. One suggestion though for the festive turkey dinner it just needed some sprouts ; ) thank you for looking after us we will be back

Tockholes is a charming village with good walks and views. The Rock is a great place for quick pint, snack or substantial meal. What really makes it special is the welcome from hosts Vass, Zoe and family; they work incredibly hard to make people feel at home. I would recommend booking as the restaurant is not huge and it can get busy at peak times.
