This is the only place in Darwen that I know of that DOESN'T 'velvet' their chicken (where chicken is rested in an egg white/baking powder and gives a 'silken' texture.)I sent on 2 occasions and bought 1 fish & chips, 1 sausage & chips, 1 dab and a pot of curry sauce for just over £10! Tried today (Sunday), as only Chinese Fish and chip takeaways open. I requested lightly battered fish, but it was still heavy and over crispy. The texture of the fish itself was very strange and tasteless. I don't know what is used, but nothing like I've had before. The chips were over cooked. It was very hot, but I couldn't eat the fish and only had some of the chips. Was a waste of money as I binned them. I spent around £16 on 3 of us.
