Restaurants in Garstang

Cafe Mila
65 Church St, Garstang, PrestonLovely lunch experience. Friendly staff, good menu selection and generous portion sizes. Vegan salt and pepper chicken wrap with side salad was tasty. Added homemade chips on the side which were really nice and again a generous portion size, although not a necessary addition as wrap & salad were a healthy enough size for a filling lunch. Would definitely revisit.

Dantes Italian Takeaway
68A Church St, Garstang, PrestonWe've travelled the world and eaten lots of different foods, but still find ourselves heading for Dante's in Garstang for one of our favourites.
Just had a long walk all day and finished up at Dante's as one of the highlights of the walk.
Large Spicy Garlic breads with the vegan cheese option, chips on the side. Enough to satisfy hungry walkers and even some left for lunch the next day, the garlic bread that keeps on giving.
If God was a pizza, it would be from Dante's.
Please, never stop!

Farmers arms
18 Church St, Garstang, PrestonWe stayed in their car park for 2 nights in our motorhome. A lovely pub , dog friendly . The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. We had pate on toast, steak and ale pie , piping hot all the way through and very tasty. Likewise I had garlic mushrooms then pan seared chicken with a cream, leek and cheese sauce, again piping hot all the way through with chips and fresh veg. It was that good I still got the pleasant aftertaste of cheese 2 hrs later. Very morish.
The second day was a roast dinner with it being Sunday. Delicious even our dog (Mr T) was begging me for some.
All in all an excellent experience so I thought it only right to put £20 behind the bar for the staff. Will definately be back.

Garstang Deli-Cafe
Market Pl, Garstang, PrestonCalled in this unassuming cafe with my wife & dog for a late lunch after a walk & ordered a warm quiche with salad & a coffee, I was expecting a slice of quiche & a few salad leaves with tomato but I had to do a double take at what turned up, I thought the plate must have been for us both to share as it completely filled a large dinner plate, packed with a huge quiche portion, pasta shells in pesto sauce, bulgar wheat, curried chickpeas, cucumber, tomato, salad leaves, beetroot, potato salad, coleslaw, red onions, it was fabulous ?.
Lovely attentive staff who even brought out some dog biscuits ?.
This place is opposite The Royal Oak pub by the Market place stone cross, don’t pass by as it’s great ??

Wheatsheaf
1 Park Hill Rd, Garstang, PrestonWe stayed here one night in our motorhome which costs £15per person, this however comes off your bar tab.
Car park has a nice grassy area with tables at the back ( great for our ?, Mr T).
The food was excellent and reasonable priced, the staff, Landlord and Landlady were very friendly and helpful.
Front and back beer garden gave us a choice between sun and shade as it was very hot.
Will definately return.

Wild Bean Cafe
By Pass Road, Preston Lancaster New Rd, Garstang, Churchtown, PrestonWent for fuel and nearly used the high volume pump for my little diesel car. Realised I was in the wrong place just in time. Fuel on the Fylde coast is ridiculously expensive.

East & Spice
2 Bridge St, Garstang, PrestonI have been using East N Spice for over 20 years now, always the same friendly welcome, always the same lovely food. We have tried most of the menu over the years with family and friends and only ever had compliments. The meats are always tender and no matter what you order, full of flavour. The vegetables are always cooked nice too and in particular I do love the vegetable Samber! We are lucky to have you serve our community as you do. Thank-you.

Garstang Fish & Chips
Stoops Hall Wind, Garstang, PrestonTried this as it was convenient (next to Booths carpark) and we were in the area. It looked inviting from the outside. I was a little reluctant as there were a couple of bad reviews. However, the prices seemed decent and the young staff where friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the food was pleasing. The children's food is excellent value (£5) and is a generous portion (see pics). I ordered the adult fish and chips with mushy peas. The chips were cooked just right and the fish was fresh. The peas were also the right consistency, not dry at all. Also the interia is modern and appealing. There was plenty of seating during a summer Saturday evening. Don't know if they are under new management, but based on this visit, this comes highly recommended.

Subway
The Old Stablespark, Hill Road, Garstang, PrestonIt’s a subway so you know what you are getting, it’s not the worst example of a subway but it also isn’t the best. No idea why the toilet is closed off, some of the staff are lovely and others truly miserable and terrifying. Also this thing where just eat customers get all the attention when you are literally stood in front of them in an empty shop is just boring.
