The Hand & Dagger is consistently excellent, and I can't recommend it highly enough.Over the dozen times we've visited, the food has never disappointed. There's a good selection on the menu, without creating decision fatigue, and there's always additional choices on the specials board. My wife and I just this evening dined here for our 13th wedding anniversary, and what a treat it was!The staff were friendly and attentive, and our server had a good grasp of dietary restrictions and how they affected the menu options.The chef set my mind at ease regarding a particular menu choice and offered a quality substitution, and there were a few vegan and gluten-free options for dessert which surprised and delighted us. What a lovely country pub. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The sea bass was beautiful and it was the best salt and pepper squid I’ve tasted in a long time. We will be back :)
