“I live 45 minutes away and after driving past this pub dozens of times for must be 40 years, 5 of us had Sunday lunch today. We were warmly greeted by the two guys who run it and the rest of the servers were friendly and very efficient. Unfortunately the pub was busy and we were put into the Covid Built Annex that has been upgraded, which is a bit isolated. But the Sunday Roast Beef Dinners and Sausages were superb, no complaints at all. We were full so all we had was a few drinks and coffees. Our only complaint would be at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, the pub has a lot of families with young children and the noise levels are not great. We had to shout to hold a conversation. Would we go back, yes, but not at 2pm on a Sunday.”

“We came here last night completely on a whim as we were in the area and were looking for somewhere to eat and decided to give The Wheatsheaf a try. I'm so glad we did, the food was just divine. I had a home made cheese and onion pie and my husband had the steak and ale pie and both were absolutely delicious and came with the best gravy we have ever tasted. One of the best meals I have ever had. The staff were nice too. We look forward to our next visit!!”

“I recently had Fish & Chips at the Dunkirk Hall Pub made by Marina & served by Leah. It was one of the best Fish & Chips which I have ever had. Service was great too.”

“Great staff, excellent service. Can not comment on the food because I've only had food on a pool night, having said that that was good.”
