“Hadn’t been here before and only came in as place we intended was closed and loved this bar !!! Really nice atmosphere, not overpriced as well. We will definitely be back here and can’t recommend it enough.”

“Popped in for Lunch after a walk at Beacon Fell. The food was very good in pleasant surroundings. Shame they only had 1 cask ale on. My Steak pudding was delicious and came with an extra jug of gravy ? My wifes Chicken Kiev(a proper breast) was v tasty too and portion size was good. Will go again.”

“A friend recommended we try this place for food and I am so glad we did! The food was amazing! Portions were very generous! It wasn’t too busy (Sunday 17:15) and the staff were super friendly! The Sunday lunch was probably one of the best I’ve ever had in a pub! We couldn’t fit in desert as we were so full but we will be back! My only regret was completely forgetting to tip! Will double up next time, I promise!”

“Great meal, just need to ring to table all of the order (bread missing from mussels), was asked if I wanted my beef pink but came over done (why ask)? Over all the mussels were tasty & plentiful, the crab pate was enjoyed by my partner, the two roast dinners were huge & well received (although no apple sauce on premises to go with roast pork)! Roast dinners a little above what we would normally pay, and another £6 for cauliflower cheese was a bit steep! But over all we enjoyed & will be back.Thank you”
