Nice friendly pub with food. Front of house is a normal pub with a couple of real ales. To the rear is a separate dining area. In summer the views over the Ribble valley must be superb but we were there in late Winter so could only see lights in the distance. The entrance to the car park is on a steep slope and the space between the buildings is a bit tight so take care manoeuvring up the slope when leaving. Staff are attentive and the food good. My friend and I went to the Dog Inn for lunch today. We booked online but there was enough space for people to come impromptu.I chose a lamb skewer with mint sauce, salad, corn on the cob, fries and coleslaw.My friend chose fish and chips.Both were extremely generous in their portions. Stayed here for a few days whilst visiting family - we had a lovely stay :) and whilst there, had a family meal to catch up over christmas. We all received such huge portions, all the food was delicious! We hated leaving bits but most couldnt finish their portions :) only thing was 2 of us received our puddings and was a little while before everyone else received theirs so 2 of us had already cleared our plates as the others received theirs - not the end of the world, we just...read full review
