No prices for the food so you will get a shock when you get the bill! Overpriced for nothing really special at all, will not be bothering again.

Shocking service frustrating to watch how long things take to reach you .a young boy getting dragged from pillar to post with no help from more experienced

Food ok nothing special, expensive in my opinion. If you suffer with feeling cold bring gloves the inside eating area is cold and is heated by portable heaters.

Had been recommended to go and try the footlong chocolate éclairs. They were delicious. Highly recommended. Bought 2 and they easily served 6 people. There were great looking cakes and sandwiches on offer which we will definitely go back to try.

Went on a Sunday our of season. Went to the till to order 1st off a woman who was behind the till threw me such a look, like she had trodden it something nasty. Next was served by an older woman who was grumpy and had a moan coz we didn't have change. Absolutely zero customer service skills by either of them. Secondly far too expensive £24 for kids' fish n chips, a small chips, 2 Coke zeros, a bottle of water, and a small coffee. Will try the cafe further up the road. As the attitudes of the 2 women has really put me off going here again!

Soooo..... It's time for a quick update following my first visit.I'm afraid to say that something has gone wrong here, and I can no longer recommend this cafe as things have gone downhill. While the service was ok, the full English was a bit of a letdown..... the toast had been reheated and was dry & hard rather than crisp, the sausages were a little under cooked, small rashers of over cooked dried out bacon. The BLT had the opposite issue with the bacon, slightly undercooked! And the place felt a little cold - 1 large space heater for the entire cafe. The only toilet available is a disabled one, key available from the till, so a queue was formingI doubt we'll visit here again in a hurry. My previous review......Called here whilst staying in St. Annes, and I must say that I was very impressed with this cafe. A great choice of hot & cold food and drinks! The whole place is very deceptive in sizeable seating area overlooking the beach. The food was all very well cooked and enjoyable and great value for money.Parking: Paid parking outside the front of the Pier.

Ordered beef stew and dumplings. Sat for ages waiting whilst watching their promotional on their tv display showing wonderful meals being made in their kitchen. Eventually, what looked like a cow Pat next to a portion of mash potatoes arrived. Stew and mash the server declared. That’s meant to be stew and dumplings I replied. Oh! he said and disappeared to investigate. After nearly ten minutes he returned with not one, but two bowls of dumplings. These dumplings had never seen the inside of a stew. They were solid, dry and free from any trace of gravy. By now the stew was lukewarm and very gloopy but I was really hungry so I thought I’d give it a go. The dumplings clearly were not cooked in the stew as one would expect. In fact I suspect that they were very hastily mixed, microwaved then popped under the grill to enhance their appearance but they were inedible. I tried to ask the waiter to take it away but he mumbled an apology and left. I gave up trying to eat what was probably the worst plate of food anyone has ever put in front of me. The waiter eventually returned and took it away, offering to have it looked at and perhaps redone. No thanks. By now my wife had finished her dinner (which was nice by the way) so we moved on to cake and coffee. My wife did mention at the till that nobody had got back to us regarding my meal. The lady said that she was so busy just now but had had my meal put aside so she could look at it and would come back to us later. After some time we had heard nothing so I decided we’ll just chalk this one up to experience and leave. As we passed the till I saw the lady whom I assumed was in charge. I told her that I was disappointed that nobody had come back to us. She said that she had expected my wife to return to her and had assumed we’d left. What was wrong with the meal she asked (clearly she hadn’t looked at it) I explained what was wrong with the meal. She replied with classic “ we serve this all the time and nobody else has complained” (did they serve other people with stew and no dumplings?) and then summoned the young lad who had prepared the dumplings. He told me that he had definitely cooked the dumplings in the stew (I swear his nose seemed to grow by an inch) I told him my theory and he looked awkward. The lady in charge then told me that I was being rude. I definitely wasn’t. I explained to her that as I had eaten a small amount of the food that I wasn’t even asking for a refund and therefore surely she must realise that I was sincere in my complaint. She replied that she was sorry that I hadn’t enjoyed the meal. I left. What is a shame, is that the cafe is a really nice place and all the other food I saw looked really good. I now know that the chef was off sick and they were really struggling in the kitchen. It’s no disgrace when something goes wrong, it’s a disgrace when someone feels the need to blame the customer. My advice, you guys need to take some time out and watch your own promotional video then you might understand my disappointment. For your information, I would definitely recommend this cafe as the food looked great and everyone else there seemed to be having a very good experience.

We have just travelled from our home in Belgium to visit family in Lancashire. We always make a trip to the cafe on the pier for some excellent Lancashire fare. The service by Danny and the rest of the staff was friendly and very efficient. But the Santa sandwich was the highlight of our afternoon. We will be back.

What a poor performance for and long standing Café, ordered the ham and leek pie to be told it was steak pie, would we like it with chips or garlic bread, well I always have my pies with chips, dont know where garlic bread comes into it. On being served the meal I was very very disappointed when I tried the chips which they got from next door, I wont guess at how long they had been in the warmer but on trying one I found mine to be just about warm, and I mean just. One thing I can not do is eat cold chips, the few I had I covered in the gravy which was piping hot, by few I mean 4, the pie was nice and the mushy peas, also was the young lady that served us, when she noticed the chips left on the plate she asked if everything was ok, I told her I could not eat cold chips and she offered to get me some more, but I couldn't see any point in getting them from the same place, they would be cold, she offered me a sweet to replace them but I nicely declined and thanked her. To my mind the person cooking the chips must have thought it was still mid summer and expected loads of custom, Wrong..... it's winter..... Thank you to the young lady that served she was the only good thing about the experience, very nice manners.

Stopped here once before on the way home from Blackpool as nowhere else was open. It was overpriced but passable food when hungry. This time was even worst than the last! Met by an older Lady serving who didn't even give us chance to look at the menu behind the counter which is hard to scan as it is. We were told the Soup was winter veg, omg worst gluggy soup I have ever tasted ? Not sure other than the lentils and hard frozen peas what the rest of the ingredients were! Got thrown away. Butter that came with it was melted an the bread stale. I picked a beef sandwich, only ate one half....It was as dry as! No sauce, horseradish nothing. Just badly cut red onions and awful tomatoes still with the root bit on. Not worth the money. My Wife had a chicken, mayo & stuffing bap and again dry as! We purchased the foot long eclair for my Son at home and he did say it was "okay" although he left the end saying it was dry. I dread to think what everything cost individually as we didn't get a receipt, just know we were charged £28 ? Absolute rip off! Dread to think what they put the prices up to in the summer! The old woman was so rude taking the order and snapped at us to push the sandwiches nearer to her at the till! She was proper rude ? Seems from other reviews she is consistant at this! She was laughing and joking with locals but vial to anyone else. Grump. We had to wait ages for the soup after paying as we were a takeaway. Then had to ask the young boy who had no clue where are bread was for the soup ? We will never return again and that's not just due to the overpriced rubbish rip off food but also cause of Mrs Grumpy! Remember who pays your wages Lady. The photo's are not in anyway to promote this place, just to show how awful the food is ?AVOID

This was our first visit here and we were we were suprised here on two counts. Pleasantly suprised how nice the food was, we both had paninis which were of a generous size and delicious. Food prices were not clear, so the bill for two paninis, a hot chocolate and a bottle of water was perhaps a tad on the high side at £22 and wasn't expected.
