Pubs in Morecambe

“Just back from a lovely evening at this well kept Pub. The bar staff were so friendly from the off, great range of drinks with a cider I’d not tried before. Without being asked the young man heard my interest and gave me a taster, great service! The food was lovely and piping hot. The surroundings inside & out were spot on, smart clean & tidy. We thought I’d lost my phone (yes it’s me) and the lady behind the bar was so helpful and checked around for me, when I found it safely at home I called her and she was so pleased for me. Great pub, great food and 1st class staff! Thank youKid-friendliness: It’s a family friendly pub and is a safe environment.”

“Sports bar so football and sports played on TVs quite loudly (pro for some con for others). Food was "fine" but could tell most items were frozen. Microwave mash aunt bessies gravy but priced wellWheelchair accessibility: Accessibility from the rear radar key toilet most of the venue is on one level”

“First time Trying The Mad Hunter South African Restaurant up above the Palatine Public House. Took my Husband for his birthday and I was not disappointed, beautiful and tasty spring rolls, smoked mussels infused in chilli for starters. I opted for the surf & Turf 5oz steak with an abundance of shelled Prawns. Hubby had a Lamb dish which was served on bread all very flavoursome. Just a little thing, it would have been nice to have had some warm water to wash fingers after peeling the Prawns but managed without. If you want something different then try here. Service Excellent very attentive and they added a little Birthday Touch at the end of the meal ?”

“My favourite bar in Morecambe! Amazing atmosphere, fast and friendly service. Karaoke nights here are always so much fun and drinks are priced very competitively.Came into this bar on my own after my friends left and was able to stay for hours due to the welcoming atmosphere.”

“Brilliant family run village pub. Lovely atmosphere and family friendly, has a soft play bus in the car park for kids. Nachos are insanely good, all of the food is great. Usually fast service and the staff are all friendly. Good for people living locally as has regular quiz/bingo/poker nights.”

“We had a party at The George last night for my daughter’s 50th birthday. Excellent venue for it. We were given the whole right hand side of the bar area, which suited us, we were not stuck in a room somewhere separate from the buzz of the pub. The staff were extremely helpful to our requirements. They worked really hard to keep the drinks flowing. We didn’t have to queue at the bar. The atmosphere was perfect. They organised the DJ for us, he was great playing any requests we asked for. The whole evening was excellent and I would recommend the venue to host any function.”

“Tonight we initially went to a pub down the road purely as it's closer to home. There was no atmosphere, the menu was a bit poor, so we left. As soon as we walked into the Hurley we knew we should stick to what we know. The venue is so lovely, the Xmas decs look great, it's spotlessly clean and the menu is brill. The food comes so fast and David our server was extremely helpful tonight. Ten out of ten all round!!!”
