We had a party at The George last night for my daughter’s 50th birthday. Excellent venue for it. We were given the whole right hand side of the bar area, which suited us, we were not stuck in a room somewhere separate from the buzz of the pub. The staff were extremely helpful to our requirements. They worked really hard to keep the drinks flowing. We didn’t have to queue at the bar. The atmosphere was perfect. Been for lunch today. The Young at Heart menu, being slightly smaller portions meant I could enjoy 3 courses, brilliant. The service, food and friendliness means we will definitely be back. Thank you.

This is a great pub not your upmarket one, but great staff so friendly, can't do enough for you kids welcome and friendly pets.The food is also great not a massive menu but enough.What I like most is that it's all fresh and no microwave food .Proberbly more of a local but excellent all roundGood decor as well.
