Sadly we had to attend the local crematorium for a funeral but afterwards the wake was held at this venue. The food was fab, the staff were lovely and looked after us very well and sensitively. Having a sectioned off area for our party worked really well. A lovely pub all round, nice and cosy and tastefully trimmed up for Christmas. Thanks to all the team looking after us and making the day run smoothly!

We stopped for a bite with hungry kids. Food was good and staved off the hanger; the service, however, was really excellent. Hannah is an impressively accomplished bar manager who greeted and served the growing number of guests with aplomb.

I have been coming to the Golden Ball for many years and I am never disappointed. There is always such a welcoming and warm atmosphere whenever I visit, the staff can never do enough for you and always remember us every time we come back - especially Hannah on the bar. The food is always brilliant quality and great value for money whatever we order and is always served with a smile. It's a great place to stop in for something substantial and affordable on the Fylde and I always recommend it for those asking for somewhere that will fit everyone's taste and budget. Made to feel very welcome and staff were friendly. Our table was clean and our food arrived promptly (there were 6 of us). The food was hot, well presented and tasty. Staff came over to make sure everything was to our liking (which it was) and then left us to eat our meal (perfect service). Will definitely return often.

Such a great night here with my friends and a fun friendly atmosphere. We had made plans to go elsewhere but ended up staying here all night! The staff were very down to earth and great at their job!

Took the family out for food. The food was brilliant. I had fish and chips and cant rate it highly enough. Deffo reccommend!! The place is spotlessly clean and so are the toilets. The kids meals was great value and the kids all ate them which is unusual! The atmosphere is so lovely and the owner (Matthew I believe) is so welcoming and couldnt do enough for us along with his staff. I rarely leave reviews but I really feel like this place deserved a 5 star review. We will definately recommend and be going again very soon. P.S. We also had our Golden retriever with us and without asking she was given a bowl of water and they offered her treats (after getting my permission).

Went here for lunch and they had football on the televisions at both ends of the pub. The volume was absolutely deafening. I don't know why they would have All the televisions blaring at both ends, surely should have had one end quite for people who want to eat in peace. Ordered a burger which was overcooked. And when my wife ordered a chocolate fudge cake for dessert it took 30 mins to arrive.
