We stopped for a bite with hungry kids. Food was good and staved off the hanger; the service, however, was really excellent. Hannah is an impressively accomplished bar manager who greeted and served the growing number of guests with aplomb.
I have been coming to the Golden Ball for many years and I am never disappointed. There is always such a welcoming and warm atmosphere whenever I visit, the staff can never do enough for you and always remember us every time we come back - especially Hannah on the bar. Sadly we had to attend the local crematorium for a funeral but afterwards the wake was held at this venue. The food was fab, the staff were lovely and looked after us very well and sensitively. Having a sectioned off area for our party worked really well. A lovely pub all round, nice and cosy and tastefully trimmed up for Christmas. Thanks to all the team looking after us and making the day run smoothly!
