Fish and Chips - fish is cooked to order and probably could have done with a couple more mins in fryer and then left to drain a bit more but the fish was really 'meaty' and very tasty and the batter was not too thick. I am really picky when it comes to chips, but these are good. Chicken 'Burger' is 3 chicken strips in a roll, but tasted fine once we got it. Missed off the order. It is a good job we checked. Just come back from visiting for the first time ever. Ordered 7 portions of fish n chips. Great food, and well done to the lady behind the counter for standing no nonsense from an out-of-the-area construction worker who tried to square up as his colleagues just stood there and watched.

Fantastic chippy and good value, I've been many times and it's the best I've been to and I've sampled a few places in my time ( not proud to admit it). The plate steak pie is wonderful, far superior than the Holland's rubbish. The chips are beautifully cooked, light and crispy not full of oil like some places. All the staff are courteous and friendly. Highly recommended.
