“A nice enough place albeit the £5 minimum card charge was a little stifling — also the smoking area was fairly cute, and it was quirky to drink next to a dog bowl ?”

“The Woolpack provided the perfect venue, for friends and family of my late Brother in law, to come together and share memories. A hot buffet was provided which was perfect. The staff have been so friendly during the event and while organising. Thanks to everyone involved, for the catering and to the barstaff.”

“As usual, the food was superb. We had the hummus and olives to start then I had cheese and onion pie, and other half had the steak and Stilton pie on the specials. Both dishes (and starter) absolutely brilliant, which is why I thoroughly recommend this popular restaurant and give it 5 stars. Why the 'but'? The service by the young staff was very casual/disorganized. We waited to be noticed at the bar (having booked); we waited for our order to be taken; we waited for our bill. Yes, they were busy, but there was apparent lack of leadership and coordination... One service staff who would, however, deserve the 5 stars given to the food was Lily. She serves her tables with the ability to make the customer feel important and valuable. Keep hold of her!”
