Food was actually really nice and the salt & pepper chips were amazing. Bar staff were lovely. We called and brought our reservation forward, which they were happy to do, just said we would maybe have to wait for our table for a few mins, which was absolutely fine! Only waited a few minutes. The issue was when we ordered off the “while you wait” part of the menu. As usual, the food was superb. We had the hummus and olives to start then I had cheese and onion pie, and other half had the steak and Stilton pie on the specials. Both dishes (and starter) absolutely brilliant, which is why I thoroughly recommend this popular restaurant and give it 5 stars. Why the 'but'? Had a table booked for a small group of us. Decor lovely inside with fashionable table and chairs which are comfy. Nice bar area and good selection of beers and wines and soft drinks. Extensive menu at reasonable prices. Portions are very good and tasty. Selection of lite bites avaliable in the week as well as the regular menu. Lovely meal and nice atmosphere. Will be back again soon.
