Never been here before but heard good things about it. Tonight didn’t disappoint. Really nice place , beautiful food and very lovely staff. I will definitely be back ?

We had not booked but got a table immediately. Drinks were one soft drink one wine. Ordered our food and it came pretty quickly, barbequed ribs and squid pieces. Had to ask for a finger bowl and bone refuse plate that should have been included automatically with the ribs dish. Both starters were very nice. Needed another soft drink but the glass still being used and with some drink still in it was removed without asking. The rib eye steak on the stone was nicely presented but tasteless, the tail end steak in blue cheese sauce was also tastless and the blue cheese dressing and cheese pieces overpowering. We had to request salt and pepper other than being asked if we wanted it. Nothing on the small desserts list appealed to us, then the bill came saying that 10% service charge will be added unless we tell the waiting server different. We said we didn’t wish to pay it and said the reasons why. The meal was not worth what the bill said. I know we’re only a drop in the ocean but we’ve been here 3 times and been dissapointed each time, will not be visiting again.

The food was fine, the service not so much. It took too long for us to order our drinks and then took too long for our drinks to come. The fact they add 10% service onto the bill automatically is a bit of a slap in the face when it’s been poor.

Booked for Father’s Day, we have been here a few times before and have always had a lovely meal. Unfortunately this time the service was terrible and the prices were absolutely astronomical. The restaurant looked to be at full capacity but there were just not enough staff to cope with the amount of tables they were trying to serve. We asked for our toddlers meal to come out with our starters it never arrived, we ordered a shared starter which after being placed on the table we waited around 10 minutes for side plates and cutlery. Once the toddlers meal arrived it was on a red hot skillet type plate which seems ridiculous to be served like this when serving to children. We waited such a long time for food by the time it arrived we had lost all interest. We were sat in the front of the restaurant and couldn’t help but notice there were quite a lot of flies which was putting us off our food. Unfortunately due to the poor service and the time it took for the food we won’t be returning to what once was our favourite restaurant.

Arrived at restaurant and waited quite a while to be shown to our table, even though there were members of staff just hanging around that could have done this. We were taken upstairs and this felt more like a bar than a restaurant (downstairs looked far better in my opinion) Drinks order was taken quite quickly. Myself and my partner both ordered the 10oz fillet, his medium, mine medium well. Had to send mine back as mine was very undercooked to what I ordered. In the meantime, my partner has nearly finished his meal by the time my meal had been returned to me. The meat was now well overdone! I don’t expect to pay £30+ for a steak and for it to be wrong twice. Staff are very very young, I get we all have to start somewhere though, but I feel the restaurant would benefit from some older staff. Would I return, no.

Staff are polite but very young, inexperienced and unorganised. The restaurant was by no means full which I thought was strange given it was Saturday pay day weekend. The reasons why soon became apparent. Took ages for drinks order to arrive (then arrived 1 by 1) There was a 45 minute wait between starters and mains - asked twice for an update both times said would check and never came back to us. No check backs at our table Had to go to the bar to order more drinks as nobody was servicing our table where there were 3 staff stood around talking and one lad cleaning and re-organising the fridges?! (On a Saturday night?) Starters were originally taken to the wrong table. The food was okay, not worth the prices charged and certainly not worth the 10% service charge they stick on top of your bill! £160 for 2 adults and 1 child. Avoid

Went with the wife for an anniversary meal was looking forward to it .when we arrived we were quickly seated then nobody came over to us to see if we wanted drinks .Other people arrived after us and were having drinks .I called one of the girls over to see if we could have drinks she apologised and got us drinks. We ordered food only to be delivered to a table near by , then they brought cutlery and dirty napkins . The couple on the next table were brought there starter and had to go and ask for cutlery .The staff were all young and didn’t seem to have much clue what they were doing will definitely not be returning…..Very disappointing

Not as expected, booked for anniversary meal and asked at time of booking for a special message to come out on a desert and this didn't happen nor did I get an acknowledgement, quite poor really. Ordered one starter and within 30 seconds of me finishing the mains were straight on the table, should of allowed a bit more time. Main burger was so dry and bland and left the vast majority of this, service could of been a lot better too. Seem to be so many young bar staff and waitresses just casually chatting and laughing rather than looking after the needs of the customers, needs a senior figure walking the floor and keeping them in check to deliver the best possible service for your restaurant Won't be coming back anytime soon, gone downhill since my last visit.

Me and my partner came here for our anniversary meal on a bank holiday Monday. I ordered the rib eye steak that comes already cooked with chips and seasonal vegetables and wild garlic mushrooms. It was cooked to absolute perfection and I ate the whole lot! I still managed to fit a pudding in which was the chocolate brownie which also did not disappoint! My partner got the fillet steak which he usually does and was slightly disappointed in his and did say he preferred mine. It was extremely quiet on the day we went which wasn't great as sometimes when it is busier you get more of an atmosphere however I suppose the plus side is, all the staff were very attentive. I will definitely be returning, just when we have an extra £120 to spare (this was without alcoholic drinks!) OWCH

Let me start off by mentioning that the food was excellent, that is where the positivity ends. The service was slow and shocking. After asking for my toddlers meal to be brought out with the starters it was only brought out with the mains and also after asking for no sauce it was smothered in sauce. There were staff members taking breaks on the table next to us which is unprofessional if nothing else. Come the end of the meal, which I've already admitted was very nice we were charged for something I didn't order (mistakes happen but, when coupled with all the other things that happened it starts to become a bit of a joke). To top it off when we were leaving and getting our coats on etc we noticed our son had put something in his mouth. A piece of chewing gum from under the table. When I informed the waitress she immediately told her manager who in return didn't bat an eyelid, let alone offer any form of apology. When we paid £170 for two adult meals and a hot dog and chips for our child this service was simply not good enough. I will not be returning and I will be telling people to stay well clear.

Turned up late afternoon on Sunday without a booking. Were told they’d just finished the Sunday roast but went and checked and said could do it as just the 2 of us. It was amazing. Honestly one of the best roasts I’ve had and it was £13.95 excellent value for money. Usually I’m paying between £17-£21. Staff were all lovely and very attentive. They add 10% service charge but made us aware of it and we could take it off if we wanted to, which we didn’t. All round brilliant experience and fantastic food

Went for dinner on Easter Monday, prices on the high side, food ok. As others have mentioned there is a 10% service charge added automatically. The problem with that is that you sometimes don't fully read the small print in the bill and then leave the waitress a £5+ tip, so then you have left 2 tips, which is not right.. You may have the worst food you have had in your life, but they still add a 10% extra service charge (which by the way the waitress will not be seeing). Had to make a fuss to get the 10% returned. If they add 10% to the bill without your knowledge, then what else are they doing? its a sneaky way to do business, better to avoid, plenty other places without the hidden charges.

Went for a night out after not being there for ages. Food was amazing. Me, ribs and burger. Her, wings and kebab...she defo had the better meal even if the hanging kebab made me feel inadequate ?...sadly upstairs was not open for post drinks and guess it hadn't been for a while as it was passed off by staff as "yeah its not open" had some good nights up there so sorry couldn't go up again

As you walk in the atmosphere is great, really enjoyed the lighting, music, fire pit in the middle of some tables and general vibe. Starter was nice: I had the vegetable pakora - yum yum. My partner was a little disappointed as he asked for the mushrooms and garlic bread and the bread they brought him had nothing on it. Main: Partner had the mixed grill. It was OK. The chips were pretty gross (and I'll eat anything but having tried one they weren't worth stealing) and the bone marrow wasn't prepared properly so was inedible. Before it arrived, he asked for a piece of bread to dip in it and was told that that's something the restaurant don't do. I mean it's just a piece of bread and we would have paid for it if that was the issue so that seemed just a silly thing to say no to. My main was scrumptious. I had the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly. I asked for veg on the side instead of chips and was brought chips anyway. We were asked if everything was OK with our meal a little later on so I mentioned this and the waiter apologised and brought me a salad instead. Cocktails: perfectly tasty.
