“I recently visited The Malt Shovel and was really impressed. The food was absolutely delicious – freshly prepared, well-presented, and full of flavour. You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. The menu had a great variety, and everything we tried was cooked to perfection. The staff were equally outstanding – warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in and were happy to accommodate any requests. Another lovely touch is the kids’ park in the garden area, which kept the little ones entertained while we relaxed and enjoyed our meal. It’s perfect for families and makes the pub even more inviting. Overall, The Malt Shovel is a fantastic place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and feel looked after. Highly recommend!”

“Restaurant not open so ate at bar. Slow service considering not many other customers. Food excellent, perfect jacket potato , however cheese and beans give separately which some may not like. Tuna melt ciabatta was perfect, fries were phenomenal, even the side salad was tasty.”
