Bulls head market street Ashby De La ZouchWhat a fantastic pub the staff are super friendly the ambience is a traditional English pub accompanied by a dining area dedicated to severing high quality food in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend as a stop off for traditional ale plus an assortment of continental lagers whines and spirits plus sky sports on several screen's dog friendly a truly family oriented pub including dining or just popping in for a pint.I’ll definitely be calling in again.

Extremely aggressive bouncers, explained to the kind and accommodating manager the issue however the bouncers will swear and be aggressive without reason ID or not.

Came for Christmas lunch ...we were originally told it was almost sold out for lunch clearly not accurate , we were told we had to book online and pay online that was a mess too , come the day we had to pay for parking lol and the place was full we should have guessed we counted 20 people actually eating...the starter was not a starter it was a pre starter baget partbake not properly cooked with cold mayo and a tomato in oil awful mix ...no matter.... starter's arrived prawns dripping in oil ...no matter ...Meal arrived ...Turkey...cold veg cold and raw potatoes burnt and mash dry...sent my meal back and it came back drowned in a onion gravy great .....that was enough...was asked if we had enjoyed our meal and said no ...and it didn't seem to matter .what a waste of 200+ quid .

Lovely old worldy pub shame about the food!! We all had Sunday dinner.. All with different meats.. Every one of them was cold on arrival mash potatoes were dry as was the roast potatoes.. When I go out for a meal I expect it to be better than what I can do myself.. Unfortunately this wasn't up to scratch.. Disappointing and won't be eating there again.

Breakfast is terrible, undercooked mushrooms and tasteless. Cappuccinos are tangy and horrible too. Will not return for breakfast if it was

Really gone downhill recently. Cosy for a drink but the food is just rubbish. More expensive than it used to be and cooked terribly.

Entered the bar and was greeted by a hugely unpleasant odious little man who made us wait 5 minutes while walking by and going to use his phone. He then proceeded to be extremely ignorant when asking for ID which I then produced after the worker became intimidating towards me and by that point looked like he was revelling in the whole ordeal. Safe to say I would warn anyone off visiting this establishment and will never return myself.

As a group of 8 tourists visiting the area for the weekend we were recommended to call to the Bulls Head for food and refreshments. How disappointed were we with the very unwelcoming way we were treated by a very intimidating male employee certainly not suited to front of house duties. We duly left and took our business across the road to another establishment where we were treated with the utmost courtesy and were made feel most welcome. Shame on you Bulls Head.

Used to eat here a lot a few years ago but stopped when we had kids. Food was nothing special, Wetherspoons type food but burgers were good.Returned recently for a meal, thought the food wasn't anywhere near as good as it used to be. Everything was overcooked and poorer quality for that type of pub. Shame.Kid-friendliness: Child friendly during the day
