Really beautiful historic pub, I used to come here with my cousins many moons ago. We came in on the off chance, it was very busy - they managed to accommodate us. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. The food was exquisite. Really tasty and filling. I eat a lot but after a shared starter and main, I couldn’t contemplate a dessert course.I will definitely return.Full marks all round,Chris C
Wonderful meal yesterday. The soup was very filling and thick. The roast dinner was excellent and the service was very good. This is a very old building which gave great atmosphere and included wooden beams. Head height was a challenge but the restaurant was full and they found us a table although we hadn’t booked. I enjoyed the cast ales and was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived. May have limited access for wheelchairs.Parking: Car park located across the road

Good portions and plenty of veg, Yorkshire was a bit disapointing. Also a reminder to. People working in the food industry that touching of hair and face whilst seving food is not permitted due to hygiene. One of the servers did not seem to grasp this.
