“Really liked this place and will definitely be back! Dog friendly, chatty staff, a good menu with plenty of veggie and vegan options. Food was fresh and portions were great sizes. There's a big car park and a lovely outdoor space too.”

“This was our 4th visit and I can honestly say that this place gets better and better. It was obvious that they were under staffed today but the front of house team smashed it out the park! Both food and staff were amazing!”

“Nice place to hang out with friends. We ordered the Short Rib Waffle and it was tasty. The rib was tender and juicy fall off the bone. And garlic mushroom went well with the rib and waffle.
Sweet and savoury in the same bite. The potion size was huge so it is good value for money.
I ordered the Iced Dragon Fruit Matcha, very pretty to look at and it tasted great too.
Overall experience was really good and I would recommend this place ?”

“Service lovely. Atmosphere a bit dull but ok (music wasn’t really dining music).
Don’t have the plant based burger (ok I know it’s a steak house, clue is in the name!) it’s the worst I have ever had. All other food was lovely”

“Delightful pub/ bar/ restaurant! We arrived early for a booking and so sat in the bar area. We were then taken through to the stylish dining room. Attentive staff took our order and remained on hand throughout the evening. We had the mussels and croquettes to start, followed by the chicken supreme and burger (emperor chips added) for mains. All were delicious and generously portioned.
If we return to the area, we will certainly visit again!”

“A lovely, cosy pub with great food!
Old Hare & Hounds in Anstey is a real gem. The food is absolutely delicious – freshly made and full of flavour. The atmosphere is very warm and cosy, with lots of separate tables that give you a real sense of privacy. It almost feels like being at home! A perfect spot for a relaxed meal or quiet evening out.”

“The food was absolutely superb! The portion is generous and the price is very fair for what you get. All very fresh food- I highly recommend the crispy beef.
The pub itself was decorated beautifully with old style with a modern twist.
The staff (I assume, family run?) were all very nice and friendly, making suggestions as we had never been.
If we are ever in the area again, We will definitely be returning. Thank you!”
