Caravelli definitely deserves 5*We've visited a couple of times and it's been spot on both times.Both the food and service were impeccable so I would definitely recommend a visit.The cost of a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine for 2 people was roughly £90 including a cheeky espresso martini to end the night.

Went in at opening time, told they were short staffed and sent back and told they will be open at 5. Came back at 5 for dessert and after being seated we were told they had a policy of ‘no dessert without having mains’. We were only served dessert when we told them we were sent back before too. Very weird policy to have. Although the dessert was nice.

Wrong food delivered so along wait and everyone else had finished there's along time. Portions are smaller than previous visit. But it tastes ok, happy to try again. Maybe not on the pasta night then sized may be different.

Honestly, one of the best Italian restaurants, I've been to carvellis, maybe 3 times now, and the service never waivers, food is exceptional as usual and the owner Massimo is one of the nicest people you would ever come across. The ambience in the restaurant is amazing, and it feels so authentic, true gem in the heart of old Loughborough ❤️
