A great welcome and the staff were amazing throughout. Personally, I would have preferred slightly more choice on the menu, but what I had was very nice. A little noisy as we were sat next to a large party, but nevertheless, an enjoyable evening.

I recently had the most fantastic lunch at the Pear Tree Inn with my wife. Three brothers run this lovely restaurant, and we were thoroughly impressed with our dining experience. To start, we ordered the Stowaway Mussels, and they were delicious. The mussels were cooked to perfection and served in a flavorful broth that had us savouring every bite.Next, we tried their pizzas, which were out of this world. We've had our fair share of pizzas in the Midlands, but these were by far the best we've ever had. The crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. We couldn't get enough of them! For our main course, we I opted for the steak. And let me tell you, it was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the chef nailed it. The steak was accompanied by a rich peppercorn sauce that elevated the flavours even more. It was a true culinary delight.Overall, our experience at the Pear Tree Inn was exceptional. The food was top-notch, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cosy and inviting. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in the Midlands.Thank you chef Marco

Food & drinks: Went for dining. Found food was expensive. Service was good. Choices for vegans were very, very limited, especially afters. Ordered griddles pineapple sorbet bit was disappointed as the pineapple was not griddles but taken out of freezer and warmed up. A definite no go for us. We were also pit off by the toilets being out of order, and whilst sitting in dinner, the staff were cleaning the toilets, taking the dirty mopped water in the kitchen area. A definite no-go for us as they are supposed to have a separate mop and bucket for toilets and kitchen (health hazardous and a recipe for contaminated food).

First time visiting The Pear Tree and we were not disappointed, the Sunday Lunch menu has plenty of choice and the food was absolutely gorgeous, really tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff could not have been more helpful & polite from the person greeting & showing us to our table to the very hard working table servers , we were very impressed and would definitely visit again

We went for a family Sunday lunch for my husbands birthday with our 2 teens. The food was average although my husbands starter (chicken parfait) was amazing. My main issue was price. It is advertised as 2 courses for £28 or 3 courses for £32 on their website. This is incorrect. You pay for individual dishes and £24 for a Sunday roast main is pretty steep and it definitely wasn't worth that. We've had better and more reasonably priced roasts at other pubs in the surrounding area and over Leicestershire. The pub itself is quite nice altho heavy foot traffic to get to loos past the kitchen. I didnt realise they had changed to individual pricing as I looked at the website when I booked and even if i had, we live over half an hour away, everyone was hungry and we were seated so I wasn't about to walk out without eating. We will not be returning. When I called and confirmed I hadn't been overcharged they stated that after feedback they have changed their pricing just the week before. But they should have changed their website and then I would not have booked as too expensive for what it was.

Must be the best pizza I’ve had outside Italy and probably as good as the one’s I’ve sampled there.Food & drinks: Superb

Food was very good, the French onion soup was very tasty and the pepperoni pizza amazing, cooked in pizza oven, full of flavour and a good sized portion.

We waited an hour and half for our mains to arrive and even after asking a few times they did not tell us what the hold up was. And when we were asked at the end of the evening if everything was okay we informed them we waited for 90mins for our mains and no reason behind it we were appalled with this level of service and no compensation just a sorry, even though we ordered before else that arrived after us. We paid a deposit too which should have been deducted on the bill and there was no mention of it until we realised after we paid! Very frustrating and let down by the service

We were here to celebrate my sons birthday and waited at the bar for the rest of our party to arrive. It took a while for us to be served despite the bar not being too busy. We were shown to our table and ordered food. The wait between starters and mains were over an hour and people who had arrived after us had received all courses in that time. We had also paid a deposit per person which was supposed to be taken off the bill but this was forgotten and only when we asked was this refunded. The venue was very good but so disappointed with the service we received.

Excellent food, a really great experience. Pizzas looked very good too. Can't stress enough how good this was.

Came and booked outside and we got given a booth which was nice! We shared a large pizza and none of us couldn’t believe how nice and fresh the pizzas are! Are waitress she was brilliant kept asking for drinks and giving us blankets! The saxophone guy was good trying to get everyone involved! Will highly recommend but might come back when warmer!
