An absolutely marvellous restaurant that we've been going to for very many years.Excellent food & service, and the prices are reasonable, especially when it's so much better than the vast majority of nominal competition. It's always (in our experience) been very professionally run, and the "front of house" staff have been that and much more: very personable (for example). We just love coming here!Today's lunch was no exception: it was exceptionally good (IYSWIM).A big thank you to all the staff for making it so.?

Just home from an amazing meal at The Grey Goose! Huge thank you to Shawn, Josh, Tilly and the team for all the effort to ensure my birthday visit was one to remember! All courses were cooked and prepared to perfection with excellent drinks from Callum and the bar team! Cannot wait to be back!

A Christmas restricted menu but quality food. Main course and dessert only but all choices were top drawer.Reasonable price too.

Food was delicious, I had the aubergine with Mediterranean couscous and sweet potato fries. One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. We will be back for sure!

Accommodated my last minute booking and the meals were fabulous as usual. The salmon dish one of the best I have ever tasted and the steak done to perfection.

So an early week date night but being December the restaurant was busy, but we were attended to and seated straight away. The decor and ambience were all very good and the service excellent all night. We ate from the Festive a la carte menu, and there was great choice, and not just festive food. The portion sizes were good value, and the selected produce excellent, an example would be the Tiger prawns in my starter, these can often be more like shrimp in some places but these were truly large and tasty. My wife's Brie was also equally impressive. Mains, comprised short ribs with various accompaniments but special mention should be made of the truffle mash! and the Salmon Fillet special with a giant couscous that impressively had great flavour (note I'm not couscous fan but I tried and liked this). We did have dessert, as based on the first two courses we could not, and they did not disappoint, a fantastic Stick toffee pudding, and a Chocolate mouse that was apparently delicious! All in all a fantastic meal, with stunning food and great service in a lovely setting...we will be back and have already recommended friends try it!

One of the best carveries I've ever had. Had roast pork with oodles of crackling and all the veg, stuffing and pig in blankets. The servers were pleasant and efficient. All in all a super experience. I'll be back

first time coming here, we went as a family last week, instantly greeted by a lovely waitress (we can’t remember her name but she had a bow in her hair if that helps?). Was instantly seated and asked about allergies etc. However there was a leak from the ceiling onto our table that the waitress noticed and went to her manager about (we didn’t even notice it didn’t affect us) and we were offered a new table. We declined it as stated earlier it didn’t affect us. The waitress was absolutely lovely and really really funny, saying how if we moved we wouldn’t be in her section and my wife said she’d fight the manager and a strong word to have this waitress if we were to move, as she was just so lovely. She understood my daughter was autistic and went into detail about what options there was and customisations the kitchen could make. Honestly amazing service. After this we were then forced by an older member of staff to move to another table where this staff member would be our server instead. She took too long to send us to the carvery even when it was empty and we just wanted our original waitress back. The food was absolutely devine and we felt it was good value for money, we will definitely definitely be coming back especially if we get our original waitress next time.

Very average and definitely had better carvery/ roast dinners from restaurants close by. Smoke from the fire dominated the restaurant, we all had to shower when we got home and all clothes had to be washed. Little ones eyes watering. Ordered drinks 3 times before they were delivered correctly. We were very much looking forward to the food as was a birthday celebration however the beef was chewy and the turkey had blood spots. Service was ok however not sure that all the staff getting their dinners and eating potatoes and crackling behind the carvery counter was appropriate for the price tag. Won’t be returning again in the near future as sadly so many better options literally up the road.

We met up with family here for some lunch which we had booked a table. The place was very busy, the car park in an ok size and just managed to get a parking space. We were taken to a table straight away. We ordered drinks which didn't take too long to arrive, however we were then ignored for over 30 minutes before we got someones attention so we could order food. We all had the carvery which this was really nice, some people got more meat than others it seemed with some of the people in front of us and other saw afterwards. The food was really good. Overall the staff were relatively friendly, service wasn't the best with staff standing around looking at people but not being overly attentive. The car park doesn't have any lighting so when it gets dark it can be difficult to see. The food is good. The decor is good. Overall this is a nice place to visit

The Grey Goose is always consistently excellent. We were there for a special birthday celebration. The Carvery is superb, large portions, along with really good wines, and the service is excellent, with really friendly staff. The ambience there is very cozy too. If you want a special time, then look no further than The Grey Goose, 5 star!
