One of the best meals I have had in years! I absolutely love the atmosphere here and the staff are always so friends and welcoming. Our server, Paula, was fantastic and allowed time for us to get our drinks and peruse the menu. My mum had steak and ale pie with mash and veg and I had cheese, leek and potato pie and chips and OMG it was the best pie I have ever had.Thank you Flying Childers and thank you Paula!!!

The Flying Childers at Kirby Bella's has changed a lot since it started. I remember when it was just a small pub with one room and a dartboard over the fireplace! Tonight, the service was first class. The young lad with auburn hair was very helpful, and Paula looked after us exceedingly well. We had a great time and will be back soon. It was a great evening out which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

We booked a table for 4:30pm for 5 people on Mothers Day. We knew it would be busy. We arrived early and planned to have a drink at the bar first. However, when we arrived and stood at the bar, the poor lady behind the bar that was readying the drinks for table orders, then had to stop and take food orders at the till. She was on her own. We were then told our table was ready and that the waitress would take a drinks order, we did this and waited. Eventually we could see our drinks on the bar (25mins in at this point) so we went to the bar and offered to carry them back to the table only to be told that was not possible because each one needed ticking off. So we waited a further 5mins for the drinks to be bought to the table! I was close to leaving at this point, which would have been a shame because everything after that initial 30mins was excellent, food, service etc…Did we arrive at a shift change? I get it was a busy day, but waiting for 30mins for drinks is not great.
