The Anchor is a top pub. Paul is world class bartender. Great vibes. Love the local feel and cold beers. Have a game of darts as well.

Played pentaque in the rain outside so can't really review the pub. Nice pint of ale, friendly landlord, reasonably priced.

We checked out the menus on line before booking, as we were on our way back from a day out and wanted something to eat on the way home. We where seated and shown a blackboard with a few choices on. (Nothing like the online menu) my husband couldn't eat anything off the board (medical problem) so we left without ordering.

It’s actually Chevon Needham, just want to say, what a brilliant night we’ve had here tonight. Music great, kids disco good and the atmosphere brilliant. Food good and beer good. Well done to all behind the bar. Will definately be back.

I called in at last minute before closing time and asked for a small fish and chips they were amazing . The batter on the fish was cooked to perfection.

Sunday lunch is just fantastic value and a delicious traditional lunch. Beef offered rare, medium or well done, vegetables are served separately and must mention the cauliflower cheese. Deserts are all homemade and you are assured of a warm welcome by the owners. We go regularly from Nottingham and meet friends from Leicester
